A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
AND DELIVERY OF A QUITCLAIM DEED REMISING,
RELEASING AND QUITCLAIMING ALL THE RIGHT,
TITLE AND INTEREST OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
UNDER AND BY VIRTUE OF A REVERSIONARY CLAUSE
CONTAINED IN A DEED OF CONVEYANCE OF PROP-
ERTY TO DONALD R. BATES.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit: on the 27th day of
January, 1953, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2081
authorizing the sale of the real property and premises
hereinafter described to Donald R. Bates, and authorizing
a conveyance thereof; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution a deed was
duly made and executed by the Mayor and the City Clerk of
the City of Anaheim conveying said real property to the
said Donald R. Bates, which said deed was recorded in the
Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California
on the 12th day of March, 1953 in Book 2469, Page 58 of
Official Records; and
WHEREAS, said deed contained a reversionary clause
providing that said property was sold upon condition that
it would be improved in accordance with the Plans and
specifications submitted with and accompanying the applica-
tion to purchase said property, and that if the said pur-
chaser failed to comply with the conditio.s therein
specified, the title to said property would revert to the
City of Anaheim and the Purchase price paid therefor would
be returned to said Purchaser; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the
purchaser has improved said property in accordance with the
Plans and specifications submitted with the application to
purchase the same, and that all the right, title, interest,
claim or demand ofthe City of Anaheim under and by virtue
of the reversionary clause contained in said deed should
be remised, released and quitclaimed to said purchaser;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to make, execute
and deliver to Donald R. Bates, a married man whose wife
name is Anita B. Bates, a good and sufficient Quitclaim Deed
remising, releasing and forever quitclaiming to said Grantee
all the right, title, interest, estate, claim or demand
which the City of Anaheim has, by virtue of the reversionary
clause contained in that certain deed executed by the City
to said Grantee and recorded March 12, 1953 in Book 2469,
Page 58 of Official Records in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California, in and to the follow-
ing described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

57, 58, 59 and 60 and of Julianna Street, as vacated
July 3, 1923 by Order recorded in Book 17, Page 353
of the Minute Book of Orange County Board of Super-
visors, of the Schaffer Oswald Subdivision, all in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 7, Page 41
of Miscellaneous Maps, of said Orange County,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of North
Olive Street as described in deed to the City of
Anaheim, recorded. February 2, 1926 in Book 625,
Page 367 of Deeds of said County, Northerly 330.00
feet from its intersection with the North line of
La Palma Avenue as shown on map of said Schaffer
Oswald Subdivision; thence Northerly 240.00 feet
along said East line and the East line of North
Olive Street, as described in deed to the City of
Anaheim, recorded August 9, 1938 in Book 958, page
80 of Official Records of said County; to the South
line of Julianna Street as described in Resolution
No, 1614 dedicating streets for Public use, a
certified copy of which was recorded June 23, 1948
in Book 1658, Pages 176 to 179, inclusive, of
Official Records of said County; thence Easterly
along said Southerly line of Julianna Street 200.00
feet to the Northwest corner of land described in
deed to George P. Crabill and wife, recorded July
8, 1952 in Book 2 353, Page 599 of Official Records
of said County; thence Southerly 240.00 feet along
the Westerly line of said Crabill land and of the
land described in deed to George P. Grabill and
wife, recorded July 8, 1952 in Book 2353, Page 591
of Official Records of said County, and along the
Westerly line of land described in deed to Albert
H. Steffens, a single man, recorded February 17,
1947 in Book 1473, Page 368 of Official Records of
said County; thence Westerly 200.00 feet on a line
parallel with said La Palma Avenue to the point of
beginning;
SUBJECT to conditions, restrictions, easements,
reservations, rights and rights -of -way of record.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved
