A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE
OF .ONE Ia NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE
CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANA
HEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO
ACCOi'PLISH :SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim had heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution de-
claring its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and
place for the holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner
and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Muni-
cipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct two public hearings to
consider such proposed change of zone or zones and did receive
evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly
announce by formal resolution its findings of facts and declare
its opinions and reasons for recommending an amendment to said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the
proposed changes of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter men-
tioned and described; and
'.THEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon
fix the 23rd day of June 19 53 as the time
and the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
as the place for a public hearing upon said proposed change of
zone and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided
in said Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon
consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which
it is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set forth,
is more suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
change said property and area and that the inclusion of said pro-
perty and area in such new zone or zones will increase the value
of said property and area and will not depreciate the values of
property in adjoining zones.
NOW, TriEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, de-
scribed as follows, to wit:
1. Starting at a point of the westerly right -of -way line of
North Palm Street 206.75 feet southerly from West La
Palma Avenue and westerly 109.34 feet from North Palm
Street; thence northerly approximately 233 feet; thence
northwesterly along the southerly right -of -way line of
West La Palma Avenue a distance of 930.88 feet; thence
southerly 802 feet; thence easterly 298.02 feet to the
westerly right -of -way line of the alley; thence along
this right -of -way line 78.94 feet and 260 feet; thence
easterly 20 feet; thence northerly 263.05 feet; th nce
southeasterly 348.14 feet; thence southerly 215.20

be changed from the zone or zones in which it is now situated
to the zone or zones designated in the above description.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and sub-
mit to the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter
2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim
Municipal Code to accomplish the object herein found and
determined to be necessary.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 14th day of July, 1953.

2. Starting at a point on the easterly right -of -way
line of North Citron Street 200 feet north of
La Verne Street and extending northerly along
the easterly right -of -way line of North Citron
Street for a distance of 170 feet with a depth
of 116 feet, presently zoned as R -1, SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, be changed to R -2,
TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE; the balance of
the frontage along North Citron Street to
West La Palma Avenue to remain as presently
zoned, R -1, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE.
3. Starting at a point 1136.8 feet from the westerly
right -of -way line of North Palm Street on the
northerly right -of -way line of West La Palma
Avenue; thence northerly 383 feet; thence
westerly 506.25 feet; thence southerly 383 feet;
thence 506.25 feet easterly to the point of
beginning, presently zoned as R -A, RESIDENTIAL
AGRICULTURAL ZONE, be changed to R.-3, MULTIPLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE,

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting, provided by law, of the City Council of
the City of Anaheim held on the 14th day of July, 1953, by the follow-
ing vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Wisser, Heying.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Boney and Van Wagoner.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 14th day of July, 1953.
