RESOLUTION NO 2162
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A POLICY TO
THE EMPLOYMENT OF CITY PERSONNEL OR THE IN-
CREASE IN COMPENSATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that some definite
policy should be established to govern and regulate the employment
of personnel required or necessary to operate the various City
departments and to perform City functions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is desirable
and would result in a saving of time and facilitate the employ-
ment of personnel to establish a central agency where all appli-
cations for additional personnel or application for the increase
of compensation for existing personnel may be filed for final
submission to the City Council for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City Adminis-
trator is a fit and proper person to be designated to receive all
such applications to be co- ordinated and presented to the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL that
all department heads of the City be, and they are hereby, author-
ized and directed to file all applications for an increase in
personnel in any department of the City or for an increase in
compensation of any existing employees together with their rec-
ommendation thereon with the City Administrator for final sub-
mission to the City Council for approval or disapproval,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to submit all such
applications to the City Council at the next regular meeting fol-
lowing the receipt of such applications.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 28th day of May, 1953.
