CITY OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF
COPY OF .dOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE
A PETITION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
AFFIDAVIT OF PTJBLICATION THEREOF, AND AP-
PROVING THE CIRC'LATION OF SAID PETITION.
THEREAS, the following named proponents, to wit:
Leonard Gus Thierfelder, Violet I. Thierfelder, W. L.
Hohensee, Jr., Pauline Hohensee, W. L. Hohensee, Ralph W.
Maas, W. D. English, Hope L. Ater, Leroy E. Ater, H. E.
Wallace, Virginia Palm, Carl R. Palm, Catherine S. Edens,
Oscar E. Mang, Magdalene M. Mang, J. H. Hilbers, Elmer E.
Everett, Lynn Sobey, Frank O. Lockhart, L. W. Miller, H.
C. Allen
have published a notice of intention to circulate a petition re-
lating to and for the annexation of the territory described in
said notice to the City of Anaheim, which said notice was duly
published on the 28th day of April 19 53 pur-
suant to and in accordance with the Elections Code of the State
of California in the Anaheim Bulieton a news-
paper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in
the County of Orange, State of California, where such territory is
situated, and that an affidavit of publication duly executed by
Richard Fischle the Secretary and Business Manager
of said newspaper, has been filed in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said notice contains the names of the proponents
intending to circulate the petition and the specific boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim, and is
accompanied by a printed statement not exceeding 500 words in
length, containing reasons for the circulation of said petition
for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that it
would be to the advantage and for the best interests of the resi-
dents and citizens of the City of Anaheim and the property owners
and qualified electors in said territory for the City Council to
approve the circulation of said petition.
NOW, T-EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the receipt of said notice of intention
to circulate said petition for the annexation of the property
therein described to the City of Anaheim be, and the same is here-
by, acknowledged and that the circulation of said petition by said
proponents for the annexation of said territory to the City of
Anaheim be, and the same is hereby approved.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 2149 was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim
held on the 28th day of April, 1953, by the following vote of the members
thereof:
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 28th day of April, 1953.
