RESOLUTION NO. 2140
A RESOLUTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRA L�TING A VARIANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition from the property owners of
certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Tract No. 1618 (entire 52 Lots), being that property
located between East North Street and East Wilhelmina
Street, and between the A. T. S. F. R.R. Right -of -way
and North East Street consisting of 9.33 acres of vacant
land, requestir permission to build houses upon said
lots at a distance of 20 feet from the front property
line. The Petitioners are Griffith Bros., 4336 Durfee
Road. The property will be zoned as R -1, SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL ZONE;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said petition
on March 2 1953, notices of which said public hearings
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission after hearing and consideration
of s .id application for a variance did deny the same; that *within
twenty (20) days thereafter, the Applicant did appeal to the City
Council from the decision of the City Planning Commission; that
the City Council did thereupon set the matter for a public hearing
as required by law in the Anaheim Municipal Code and did hold a
public hearine thereupon on the 14th day of April, 1953; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinary circum-
stances or conditions applicable to the property in-
volved or to the intended use of the property that
do not apply generally to the property or class of
use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property
right possessed by other property in the same vicinity
and zone and denied to the property in question.
3. That the granting of such variance will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or in-
jurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the granting of such variance will not
adversely affect the comprehensive general zoning plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a conditional zoning variance be, and the
same is hereby granted to Griffith Bros., 4336 Durfee Road, Pico,
California, for the use of said property for the follo?

Said variance is granted upon the following condition:
1. That the house plans on the North Street corner
lots be filed with the Building Inspector of the City of Anaheim.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such variance permit for good cause or failure of said owners or
their heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim
Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein. Said
variance is granted for the term Prescribed by the Anaheim 1drunici—
pa.l Code unless otherwise specified herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
