A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VARIANCE.
of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
A portion of the northerly half of the easterly
half of Lot 9 of Anaheim Extension. The loca-
tion of the property is 1522 to 1540 East
Center Street.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said Petition
of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investi-
gation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. 19 recommending to the City Counci
of the City of Anaheim that Variance No. 175 be granted upon the
conditions stated in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances
or conditions applicable to the property involved or to the
intended use of the property that do not apply generally to
the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary for the preserva-
tion and enjoyment of a substantial property right possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone and denied
to the property in question.
3. That the granting of such variance will not be

11 materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious
2 to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone
3 in which the property is located.
4 4. That the granting of such variance will not adversely
5 affect the comprehensive general zoning plan.
6 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
7 the City of Anaheim that a conditional zoning variance be, and the
8 same is hereby, granted to Mrs. Lena Bastian, 1528 East Center
9 Street, Anaheim, California, for the use of said property for the
10 following purposes: For the purpose of dividing the Center Street
11 frontage into three parcels containing frontages as follows:

19 by the City for the widening of East Center Street if desired by
20 her at that time.
21 The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke sue
22 variance permit for good cause or failure of said owner or her
23 heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim Municipal

Sixty feet (60'), 76.56 feet and 130 feet, respectively.
Said variance is granted upon the following conditions:
1. That said owner grant to the City an easement over
the northerly 25i feet of said property for the purpose of widening)
Center Street.
2. That the City will move the residence of the present
owner farther back on said lot whenever said easement is utilized
Code and regulations and the conditions herein. Said variance is
granted for the term prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal Code
unless otherwise specified herein.
