2. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
211 CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO TEE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE
3 BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIV-
ING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY
4 PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PRO-
POSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND
5 SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.

WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received

that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition it was and now is

[proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assess-

from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said pet-

ition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said Citv of Anaheim

ciid not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was un-

hreports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 13th day
of January, 1953, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory
described in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and.
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal for the
annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Anaheim was
submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of Californial,
and reported upon by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness
and certainty of the proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim
is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to
the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a
description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resol-
ment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and

A tract of land lying within Section 8, Town 4 South, Range 10 West,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the south line of Houston Ave. Annexation to
the City of Anaheim, Orange County, Calif., said point also being the intersection
of south R/W line of La Palma Ave. (60 ft. wide) and the easterly line of
N NWi, Sec. 8, T4S, R 10 W, SBBM; thence from said point of beginning.
1. Southerly, 1290 ft more or less along the said easterly line of
N of NWi Sec. 8, T4S, R 10 W, SBBM, to as paint which is on the southerly line
of N NW,i, Sec 8, T4S, R 10 W, SBBM; thence,
2. Westerly, 1505 ft. more or less along the said southerly line of
N i of NW i, Sec. 8, T4S, R 10 W, SBBM to a paint which is in the northerly R/W
line of Manchester Ave. (190 ft wide); thence,
3. Northwesterly 1340 ft. more or less along the northerly R/W line
of said Manchester Ave. to an angle point in the said northerly R/W line of
Manchester Ave.; thence,
4. Northwesterly 30.94 ft. more or less along the said northerly R/W
line of Manchester Ave. to a point which is in the easterly R/W line of Brook—
hurst Street (60 ft. wide); thence,
5. Northerly 540 ft. more or less along the said easterly R/W line
of Brookhurst Street to a point which is in the southerly R/W line of said La
Palma Ave.; thence,
6. Easterly along the southerly R/W line of said La Palma Ave. 1301.22
ft. more or less to the southwesterly corner of said Houston Ave. Annexation,
then continuing easterly along the said southerly R/W line of La Palma Ave. which
is also the southerly line of the said Houston Ave. Annexation a distance of
1320 ft, more or less to the point of beginning.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
19 Anaheim:
20 1 That such proposed annexation be designated as ALLISON HONER ANNEXATION
21 1 and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given; and
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 13th day of February, 1953, at the hour
23 lof 4:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of
24 'Anaheim, be and the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and
where any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be
26 dannexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before
27 tthe City Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory should
28 not be so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such proposed
29 annexation are hereby notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to
30 show cause, if any they have, why such territory should not be so annexed; and
31 1 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby,
242 'authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at

20 hearing on the proposed annexation.
21 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 13th day of
22 January, 1953.

least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in a newspaper of general circul-
ation published in the City, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange
County, California, and also in a newspaper of general circulation published out-
side of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located the territory
hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Placentia
Courier: That such publication shall be completed at least twenty (20) days
prior to the date of hearing hereinabove specified.
BE IT FLIRT ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause written notice of such propose
lannexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll available
on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the address shown on said assess-
ment roll or as known to said City Clerk, and to any person who has filed his
name and address and the designation of lands in which he has any interest, eithe
legal or equitable, with said Clerk: That in the event that land within the
territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim is owned by a County, the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such propose.
