AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER FOR THE FURNISHING OF ALL LABOR, MATERIAL
AND EUIPMENT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF WEST SOUTH

improvement of West South Street from Los Angeles Street to Lemon

=EAS said notice inviting sealed proposals for such
street improvement did provide that such sealed proposals would be
received by the City Council of the City of Anaheim at the office of
the Oity Clerk of the City of Anaheim up to the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P.M. of Wednesday, November 19, 1952, for the furnishing of all
labor, materials and equipment aforesaid and which said notice did
state and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770
of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
ascertained the prevailing rate of wages in the locality in which
this type of labor is performed, for each type of labor needed to
1 execute said contract, and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage

R. J. Noble Company, P.O. Box 620, Orange, California, for the fur-
nishing of all labor, materials and equipment for said street
improvement in accordance with the specifications entitled 'Speci-
fications and Special Provisions for the improvement of West South
Street from Los Angeles Street to Lemon Street and from Palm Street
to Illinois Street, in the City of Anaheim, November, 1952, Project
No. 32, Major City Streets" is the lowest responsible proposal

isfactory to the City of Anaheim upon the terms and conditions
specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals and the proposal
submitted by it and in accordance with the specifications and
special provisions hereinabove referred to and that said R. J.
Noble Company shall be required to furnish a surety bond in an
amount equal to 100 per cent of the contract price for the furnish.t

a provision that should said contractor fail to do or perform the
work as herein provided in the manner herein set forth in a good
22 and workmanlike manner, they shall, in addition to any other pen-
23 alties provided in the contract documents, be liable to the City
24 of Anaheim for all loss or damage that the latter may suffer on
25 account thereof and that said improvement be completed within

26 thirty (30) days from the date of the contract made and entered
27 into with said contractor.
28 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this

with the specifications entitled "Specifications and Special Pro-
visions for the improvement of West South Street from Los Angeles
