ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2049 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FUTURE BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN THE CITY OF FULLERTON AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AND AUTH- ORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF FULLERTON WITH RESPECT TO SAID BOUNDARY LINE. WHEREAS, the City of Fullerton and the City of Anaheim have heretofore approved the establishment of a future common boundary line between the two cities in the area west of South Spadra Road; and WHEREAS, the City of Fullerton and the City of Anaheim have not heretofore agreed upon a future common boundary line in the area east of South Spadra Road; and WHEREAS, there is now pending before the City Council of Anaheim an annexation proceeding known as the Acacia Street Annexa- tion and there is now pending before the City Council of the City of Fullerton an annexation known as the South Harvard Annexation; and WHEREAS, said South Harvard Annexation includes an area of approximately 80 acres lying south of the southern boundary of the City of Fullerton and north of the northerly boundary of the City of Anaheim and is bordered on the east by the easterly line of IjHarvard Avenue and Lemon Street and on the west by the easterly 23 line of the South Spadra Annexation to City of Fullerton; and 24 WHEREAS, said Acacia Street Annexation includes a portion 25 of the property involved in the South Harvard Annexation; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of both of said cities 271 and of the property owners involved that the conflict between said 2 8 annexation proceedings be eliminated and that a future boundary 29 line between the cities be established by agreement; 301, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim 31 r i DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERHINE AND ORDER as follows: 32 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 I I 31 32 CITY OF ANAHEIM 204 E. ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA l That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Anaheim an agreement with the City of Fullerton providing for the following: (1) For the establishment of a future boundary line between the City of Fullerton and the City of Anaheim as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Manchester Boulevard and the westerly line of Dale Avenue, and running thence southeasterly along the center line of Manchester Boulevard to its intersec- tion with the westerly extension of the northerly line of Houston Street; Thence easterly along the northerly line of Houston Street to the easterly line of Euclid Avenue; Thence south along the easterly line of Euclid Avenue to the center line of Sec. 4 T4S RlOW; Thence easterly along the center line of Sec. 4 to the northwest corner of Lot 2 of Miles Rancho; Thence south along the westerly line of Lot 2 of Miles Rancho to the southwest corner thereof; Thence northeasterly and easterly along the southerly boundary lines of Lots 2 and 3 of Miles Rancho to the southwest corner of the South Spadra Annexation to the City of Fullerton; Thence easterly along the southerly boundary of the City of Fullerton to its intersection with the east- erly line of South Spadra Road; Thence southerly to the southwest corner of the portion of the J. W. Hein property which is within the city limits of the City of Fullerton; Thence easterly along the southerly boundary line of the City of Fullerton to the southeast corner of the property of J. W. Hein which is located in the City of Fullerton: Thence northerly along the boundary line of the City of Fullerton to its intersection with the southeasterly boundary line of Lot 4 of Miles Rancho; Thence northeasterly along the southeasterly boundary line of Lot 4 of Miles Rancho and the prolongation thereof to its intersection with the easterly line of North Lemon Street; Thence northerly along the easterly boundary line of North Lemon Street to the city limits of the City of Fullerton; Thence, easterly along the city limits line of the City of Fullerton to the intersection thereof with the west- erly line of Raymond Avenue; 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 271 28 29 30 CITY OF ANAHEIM 204 E. CALIFORNIA I I lI Thence southerly along the westerly line of Raymond Avenue to its intersection with the center line of Orangethorpe Avenue; Thence easterly along the center line of Orangethorpe Avenue to the intersection thereof with the easterly line of Placentia Avenue. (2) For the granting of permits by the City of Anaheim to the City of Fullerton and by the City of Fullerton to the City of Anaheim which may be necessary in connection with the use of the streets of the other city for water, sewer and other utility pur— poses. (3) For cooperation between the City of Anaheim and the City of Fullerton with respect to the zoning and the servicing of areas of mutual interest lying adjacent to the above described future boundary line. (4) For an agreement on the part of the City of Anaheim that it will provide for and require appropriate buffer strips along the east line of Harvard Avenue and Lemon Street and along the north line of 29.23 acre parcel now owned by Dorothea Pinkham to the end that the residential and commercial areas of Fullerton along the said common boundary line may be properly separated from property used for industrial purposes. (5) For appropriate adjustments in the above described boundary line in the event that the same are desirable in connec— tion with the servicing of the areas involved. The property to which reference is made in this sub- paragraph (6) is bounded on the north by the Fullerton city limits, on the east by Raymond Avenue, on the south by Orangethorp= Avenue, and on the west by the right of way of the Atchison, Topeka Santa Fe Railroad.
