A RESOLUTION? OF THE CITY COUNTCIL OF THE CITY OF
AANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PRO
CJ'] ,DINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF IN'1HABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OP ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, Henry J. DuBois. 'ay Betts. Wm. G. C1 ussen. 0. H. Andererson.
Peter J. xBorzell, R. L. Coons, Patrick B. Roden, Vera Rose Auest, James W. Henderson,
Lester Mitchell, Helen Mitchell and Nelson Dierker
have filed with the City Council a written request, requesting the consent of the
City Council of the City of Anaheim to the commencement of proceedings for the
annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of Anaheim, and
stating that said territory is inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim, and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the
advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim and to the qualified electors residing
within said territory to permit the above named proponents to commence proceedings
for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the conditions
hereinafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City Planning Commission
and its report and recommendations received recommending the granting of consent
to commence proceedings for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the consent of the City Council be, and it is hereby, given to said proponents
to commence proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory
t o the City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions:
First: That the proposal for annexation of said territory to the City of
shall be submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary Commission_
of the County of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of proposed
boundaries.
Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexation of said terri-
Cory until after notice of intention to circulate such petition has been published
as required by law and a copy of such notice and an affidavit of publication has
been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after th,

date of publication of said notice, and a resolution has been adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving
the circulation of said petition.
Third: That the circulation of any petition for the annexation of said
territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be commenced until twenty -one (21) days
after the publication of said notice of intention to circulate the same.
The boundaries of the territory for which proceedings are proposed to be
commenced for the annexation thereof to the City of Anaheim are described as follows:
A tract of land including a portion of Sections 2, 3, 4 and 11, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and a portion of Sections 34 and
35, Township 3 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and more parti-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the existing City Limits Line of the City of Anaheim,
said point being at the intersection of the South right -of -way line of East La
Palma Avenue and the East property line of Lot 1 of Original Tract No. 153 filed
in Book 11 Page 46, M.M.R.O.C. and a distance of 1669 feet more or less East of
the monumented center line of East Street; thence Northerly along a line perpen-
dicular to the monumented center line of East La Palma Avenue for a distance of
30 feet more or less to the South line of Section 2, T4S, R1OW, SBBM, said line
being the monumented center line of East La Palma Avenue; thence continuing
Northerly along said line perpendicular to the center line of East La Palma Ave-
nue to the North right -of -way line of East La Palma Avenue; thence Easterly along
said North right -of -way line of East La Palma Avenue to its intersection with the
East right -of -way line of Acacia Street; thence Northerly along said East right
of -way line of Acacia Street to the South line of Lot 22 of'Golden State Tract
No. 2 filed in Book 4 Page 68, M.M.R.O.C.; thence Easterly along South line of
said Lot 22 to the East line of said Lot 22; thence Northerly along the East line
of said Lot 22 to the Northeast corner thereof; thence continuing Northerly to the
Southeast corner of Lot 18 of said Golden State Tract; thence continuing Northerly
along the East line of said Lot 18 and Lot 14 of said Golden State Tract to the
Northeast corner of said Lot 14; thence Westerly along said North line of said
Lot 14 to the East right -of -way line of Acacia Street; thence Northerly along
said East right -of -way line of Acacia Street to a point on a barranca as shown
on a map recorded in Book 13, Page 22 R/W OC, said point being 572 feet more or
less Northerly of the North line of Lot 14 of said Golden State Tract No. 2
thence Southwesterly along the meandering line of said barranca and its extension
to the East line extended Northerly of that certain parcel described as the South
5.42 ac. of the West 18 ac. of the South 36 ac. of the East of fractional North
west r of Section 2, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B.M.; thence Southerly along said East line
to the North line of said 5.42 ac; thence ?Westerly 663 feet more or less to the
West line of said 5.42 ac; thence southerly along said Vest line to the Northerly
right -of -way line of Burton Street; thence Westerly along said ri ht -of -way line
of Burton Street to the East right -of -way line of Raymond Avenue; thence Northerly
along said East right -of -way line and its extension of Raymond Avenue to the North
line of Section 2, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B.M., the same being the monumented center line
of Orangethorpe Avenue; thence continuing Northerly along said East right -of -way
line of Raymond Avenue and the extension thereto a distance of 1320 feet more or
less to the South City Limits line of the City of Fullerton as existing October
23, 1952; thence Westerly 30 feet more or less along said City Limits line of the
City of Fullerton to the East line of Section 34, T3S, R1OW, S.B.B.M.; thence con-
tinuing westerly 3960 feet more or less along said City Limits line of the City
of Fullerton to a point, said point being an angle point on the said City Limits
line of the City of Fullerton thence southerly 264 feet more or less along said
City Limits Line of the City of Fullerton to an angle point on the said City
Limits line of the City of Fullerton; thence westerly 351 feet more or less con-
tinuing along the said City Limits Line of the City of Fullerton to an angle
point in said City Limits Line; thence northerly 264 feet more or less, continuing
along said City Limits line of the City of Fullerton to an angle point on said line;
thence "Westerly continuing along said City Limits Line of the City of Fullerton to
a point, said point being 330 feet more or less East of the center line of South
Spadra Road also known as U.S. Highway 101; thence southerly 1320 foot more or less
continuing along said City Limits Line of the City of Fullerton, said line being
330 feet more or less East of and parallel to said South Spadra Road to the South
line of Section 34, T3S, R1OW, S.B.B.M.; also being the monumented center line of
Orangethorpc Avenue; thence continuing southerly along said City Limits Line of the
City of Fullerton to the South lino of Block 2 of the Pfeninger Tract as recorded
in Book 7 Page 26 M.M.O.C.; thence Easterly along said south line of Block 2 of
the Pfeninger Tract and the prolongation thereof to the East right -of -way line of
Lemon Street also known as Harvard Avenue; thence southerly along said East right
of -way line of said Lemon Street to a point, said point being at the intersection
of the extension of the Southerly line of lot 4 of Miles Rancho as recorded in
Book 4 Page 7, M.M.O.C., also being the center line of the Anaheim Union Water Com-
pany Canal as shown on said map; thence Southwesterly along said South line of
said lot 4 of Miles Rancho and the Northeasterly prolongation thereof to a point
on the existing City Limits line of the City of Fullerton, said City Limits line
being 330 feet more or less, easterly and at right angles from the center line of
South Spadra Road; thence southerly along said City Limits line of the City of
Fullerton to an angle point; thence Westerly continuing along said City Limits
line of the City of Fullerton a distance of 300 feet more or less to the East
right -of -way line of said South Spadra Road; thence Northerly 100 feet more or
less continuing along said City Limits line of the City of Fullerton and the East
right -of -way line of Spadra Road to an angle point; thence Westerly 60 feet more
or less continuing along said City Limits Line of the City of Fullerton to a point
on the West side of said Spadra Road, said point being the intersection of the
Southernmost City Limits of the City of Fullerton and the Northernmost City Limits
of the City of Anaheim it being also the Northeast corner of lot 6 Miles Rancho
on said West right -of -way line of South Spadra Road also known as U.S Highway
101; thence Southerly 410 feet more or less along the said West right -of -way
line of Spadra Road and the existing City Limits line of the City of Anaheim to
an angle point; thence Easterly 60 feet more or less continuing along said City
Limits line of the City of Anaheim to the East right -of -way line of said Spadra
Road; thence Northeasterly 131305 feet more or less continuing along said City
Limits line of the City of Anaheim to a point on the West right -of -way line of
Lemon Street, said point being 700.12 feet more or less northerly from the North-
west right -of -way corner of said Lemon Street and Romneya Drive; thence continuing
Northerly along said City Limits line and said West right -of -way line of Lemon
Street to an angle point on said City Limits line of the City of Anaheim; thence
Easterly continuing along said City Limits line, it being the North line of the
Kirven Annexation to the City of Anaheim as certified by the Secretary of State,
January 11, 1946, to an angle point on said existing City Limits line; thence
Northerly continuing along said City Limits line a distance of 325.55 feet more
or less to an angle point on said City Limits line; thence Easterly continuing along
said City Limits line a distance of 665 feet more or less to a point, said point
being an angle point in said City Limits line, it also being the center of Section
3, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B.M.; thence Northerly continuing along said City Limits line a
distance of 1828 feet more or less to an angle point on said City Limits line it
also being the Northwesterly corner of the Industrial Site Addition to the City
of Anaheim as certified by the Secretary of State, August 21, 1924; thence Easterly
continuing along said City Limits line a distance of 1328 feet more or less to an
angle point on said City Limits Line; thence Southerly continuing along said City
Limits line a distance 4466 feet more or less to an angle point on said City
Limits line, said point also being on the monumented center line of East La Palma
Avenue; thence Easterly continuing along said City Limits line a distance of 2755.18
feet more or less to a point of intersection of the said City Limits line and the
West property line of Original lot 1 of Tract 153 filed in Book 11 Page 46 M.M.R.O.C.;
thence continuing Southerly along said City Limits line 31.26 feet to the South
right -of -way line of East La Palma Avenue and an angle point on said City Limits
line; thence Easterly continuing along said City Limits line 536.46 feet to the
point of beginning and containing approximately 570 acres.
