RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, STATING
THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION
RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL BOND ELECTION
HELD SEPTEMBER 29, 1952.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
California, by Ordinance No. 815, duly called and provided
for the holding of a special election in said city on
September 29, 1952, for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified voters of said city the propositions set forth in
said ordinance and hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and
regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law,
and said election was on said date duly held at the polling
places designated in said ordinance, and the votes cast
thereat were canvassed and the returns thereof made at the
time and in the manner and form provided by law; and
WHEREAS, on this 30th day of September, 1952, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock, P.M., said City Council has duly assembled
at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of
said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Anaheim, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the special election for the purpose
of submitting to the voters of the City of Anaheim the bond
propositions hereinafter set forth was duly held on September
29, 1952, and the votes cast thereat were duly and regularly
canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and in
the form and manner required by law.
Section 2; That the bond propositions voted upon
at said election are as follows, to wit:
BOND PROPOSITION NO. 1: Shall the City of
Anaheim incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal
sum of $500,000.00 for the purge se of the acquisition
and construction by said City of a certain municipal
improvement, to wit: waterworks facilities to extend
and improve the waterworks system of the city, said
facilities to include storage facilities, wells,
pumps, works, structures and water mains (including
replacement of existing mains) and the acquisition
of lands, rights of way, pipe, equipment, material,
apparatus, and property necessary for said improvement?
BOND PROPOSITION NO. 2: Shall the City of
Anaheim incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal
sum of $500,000.00 for the purpose of the acquisition
and construction ty said City of a certain municipal
improvement, to wit: electric distribution facilities
to extend and improve the electric distribution system
of the city, such facilities to include the acquisition
and the construction (including the reconstruction) of
electric lines, the acquisition and construction of
transformer stations, and distribution substations,
including the acquisition of lands, rights of way,
material, equipment, apparatus and property necessary
for said improvement?
Section 3. That this City Council has duly canvassed
the returns of said election and from said returns it appears,
and this City Council finds, that the total number of votes
cast in each of the respective voting precincts established
for said election upon each of said propositions, and the
number of votes therein for and against each of said proposi-
tions, and the total number of votes cast in said city upon
each of said propositions and for and against each of said
propositions in said city are as follows:

Section 4. That the votes of more than two thirds
of all of the voters voting upon each of said propositions
were cast in favor of the adoption of each thereof, and each
of said propositions is hereby deciared to be carried, and
this City Council is authorized to issue bonds pursuant thereto
as provided by law.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 30th day of
September, 1952.

I, CHARLES E. GRIFFITH, City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim, California, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing
resolution was duly adopted by City Council of said city
and was approved by the May of said city at an adjourned
regular meeting of said Cit Council held on the 30th day
of September, 1952, and that it was adopted by the following
vote, to wit:
