WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the
27th day of May ,1952, receive a written petition asking that cer-
tain new territory described in said petition be annexed to the
City of Anaheim, and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal
for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the
City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the
County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said
Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness and certainty
of the proposed boundaries, and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited terri-
tory, ana said petition contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter

ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH
PROPOSED ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE BOTJNDARIFS
OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND
GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE
AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports
received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said peti-
tion, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-
fourth (4) of the area and not less than one fourth

1 presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to
2 be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any
31 municipal corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and
4" is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:
A tract of land being a portion of the west one -half
of Section 12, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian, in Orange County, State
of California and more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the most easterly City Limit
Line on the north right -of -way line of Anaheim -Olive
Road, said point being 305.31 feet easterly of the
east right -of -way line of Placentia Avenue; thence
continuing eastwardly a distance of 1010 feet more
or less along said north right -of -way line of Anaheim
Olive Road to the east property line of a parcel
described as the easterly 102 feet of the northeast
one quarter of the northwest one quarter of the
Southwest one quarter of Section 12; thence north
wardly along said east line, which line is also the
east line of the west one -half of the west one -half
of said Section 12 a distance of 897 feet more or
less to the south property line of a parcel des-
cribed as the south one -half of the north one -half
of the southwest one quarter of the northwest one
quarter of said Section 12; thence eastwardly a
distance of 4 feet along said south line extended
to a point; thence northwardly a distance of 660
feet more or less along a line parallel to and
measured 4 feet at right angles to the east line
of the west one -half of the west one -half of said
section 12 to the north line produced of the
southwest one quarter of the northwest one quarter
of said Section 12; thence westwardly along said
north line a distance of 994 feet more or less to
the existing City Limit Line; thence southwardly
along existing City Limit Line to the point of
beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That such proposed annexation be designated as WARD ANNEXA-
TION and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is
hereby given, and

such territory should not be so annexed; that all persons having
9 any objections to such proposed annexation are hereby notified to
10 appear on said day at said hour and place to show cause, if any they
have, why such territory should not be so annexed, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he is
Z hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
14 to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week,
15 in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City, to
16 Iwit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California, and
17 also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside of the
18 City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located the territory
19 lhereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit:

2 1952, at the hour of 8 :00 olclock P.M., at the City Council Cham-
3 ber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim, be and the same is
4 hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any person
5 owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annex-
l ed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear
,before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause why
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is
assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roil available, on
the date the proceedings were initiated, at the address shown on
said assessment rollor as known to said City Clerk, and to any per-
son who has filed his name and address and the designation of lands
in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said
Clerk: That in the event that land within the territory proposed
to be annexed to the City of Anaheim is owned by a County, the City!,
Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall also cause written notice of
3 such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors

of such County. The foregoing notices shall be given not less than
