This letter is in oppos ition to the propos ed Fes tiva l project due to Fire Evacua tion time c oncerns .
When it comes to Fire Sa fety, nobody g oes s hopping when they think their hous e is goi ng to burn down. Ins tead, everybody g oes
home. This Fes tiva l Project is g oing to add to the fire eva cuation da ng er if you rezone from c ommerc i a l to res identi a l . Y ou a bs olutel y
ca nnot rezone this if you unders tand this funda mental difference.
This project is the s a me s ize, s cope, and loca tion as the Deer Canyon project, which wa s deni ed due to s trong conc erns a bout Fi re
Eva cuation times . You mus t a pply the s ame logic to this propos ed project a nd deny it.
The Know Your Way pla n is fla wed and untes ted. You cannot us e tha t as a n excus e for bui l di ng res i dential units in a hig h fi re dang er
zone. You mus t s olve the current infra s tructure problem if you are interes ted in s aving lives . The 3+ hour evac ua tion ti mes rema i n
uncha ng ed a nd una cceptable.
You have ha d over 1 year s ince the Deer C anyon project to take ANY s teps to fix the infra s tructure probl em but have taken Z E RO s teps .
The res idents of Anaheim are in the s a me a mount of da ng er in the event of a Fire tha n we were a year a g o.
Pleas e deny this project. If you truly wa nt it, plea s e make the neces s a ry infra s tructure c ha ng es before you a l l ow more bui l di ng s to be
built.
