RESOLUTION NO. 1893
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VAR-
IANCE.
WHEREAS, Reinhold Jeschke and Alvina Jeschke heretofore
filed with the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim an
application for a variance for permission to use two rooms on the
lower floor of the residence on the front of a lot at 204 East
Broadway in the City of Anaheim as offices for professional use,
which property is more particularly described as Lot 2, Block M
of Center Tract and is now zoned as R -3 Multiple Family Residential
Zone; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission did fix the 5th
day of November, 1951, as a time for a public hearing upon said
application and gave notice thereof as required by law and City
Ordinance No. 774; that at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, such public hearing was duly held and conducted and
evidence and reports duly received by the City Planning Commission.
That after due consideration, said Planning Commission acted upon
said application for said variance and recommended that such appli-
cation be denied; and
WHEREAS, the applicants thereupon filed an appeal to the
City Council of the City of Anaheim within twenty (20) days from
the decision and recommendation of the City Planning Commission
as provided by the terms of Ordinance No. 774; that the City
Council fixed the 27th day of November, 1951, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M.
in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Ana-
heim as the time and place for holding a public hearing upon said
appeal. That at the time and place fixed for the hearing thereon,
the City Council did duly hold and conduct a public hearing, at
which time and place all persons interested therein were given an
opportunity either to oppose or recommend the granting of such
application for said variance. That at said time and place, the

City Council did thereon receive evidence and reports from all
persons who appeared at said meeting and who were interested therein
and does hereby find the following facts:
16 That there are exceptional or extraordinary
circumstances or conditions applicable to the property
involved or to the intended use of the property that do
not apply generally to the property or class of use
in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such variance is necessary for the
preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property
right possessed by other property in the same vicinity
and zone, and denied to the property in question.
3. That the granting of such variance will not
be materially detrimental to the public welfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the granting of such variance will not
adversely affect the Comprehensive General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, that a conditional variance be, and the same
is hereby, granted to Reinhold Jeschke and Alvina Jeschke permit-
ting them to use two rooms on the lower floor of the residence
located at 204 East Broadway in the City of Anaheim and situated
upon Lot 2, Block M, of Center Tract, as offices for professional
use by a person or persons of the medical, dental or chiropractic
professions.
That said variance is granted upon the following con-
ditions:
1. That no additional buildings are to be
built.
2. That the appearance of the said real property,
including all buildings thereon, shall be kept and
maintained with a satisfactory appearance in keeping

this 12th day of
ATTEST:
with the uses herein permitted.
3. That the maintenance and operation of said
building shall comply with all requirements of the
Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Anaheim as
to safety and fire prevention.
4. That said building and the business conducted
therein shall be operated in accordance with all laws
of the State of California and Ordinances and Regula-
tions of the City of Anaheim,
5. That the City Council hereby reserves the right
to revoke said variance permit for good cause.
