A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE /{AYOR
AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN OVER-
HEAD WIRE CROSSING AGREEMENT 3 -ITH THE
LOS ANGELES SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY
AND ITS LESSEE, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD
CO PANY, CORPORATIONS OF THE STATE OF
UTAH.
WHEREAS, the City of Anahei.rn desires to construct,
maintain and operate its conductors consisting of three conductors
of No. 2/0 B.C. wires carrying 12 KV, and 2 anchors for trans-
mission of electricity for power purposes over and across the
property and /or tracks of said Los Angeles Salt Lake Railroad
Company and its lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company, corporation
of the State of Utah, at or near Fullerton, County of Orange,
State of California in location as shown in yellow upon the blue
print map and marked "Exhibit A" in the agreement hereto attached,
WHTREAS, the said Los Angeles Salt Lake Railroad Company
and its lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company, have offered to
enter into an agreement granting unto the City of Anaheim the
right to construct, maintain and operate said conductors an
overhead wire crossin as hereinabos.-e outlined and as specified in
the agreement hereto attached in consideration of the payment by
the City of Anaheim to the Union Pacific Railroad Company, in
wdvance, the sum of 4 and no /100 (tr5.00) Dollars as rental
during the term of said agreement. That the term of said agree-
ment shall be from August 15, 1951, to February 15, 1952, subject,
nevertheless, to right of termination as provided in Section 10
of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that public interest
aAxd necessity requires that the :pity have and obtain the right to
construct, maintain and operate the conductors an overhead. wire

crossing aforesaid and that the agreement hereto attached should
be entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the Los
Angeles Salt Lake Railroad Company and its lessee, Union Pacific
Railroad Company, upon the terms and conditons as therein set
forth.
NOW, TH7FEF0E, BF IT RESOLVED BY TEF CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM that the Mayor and City Clerk be, a nd they are
hereby, authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of
the City of Anaheim the overhead wire crossing agreement hereto.
attached, giving and granting to the City of Anaheim the right to
construct, maintain and operate its conductors an overhead wire
crossing across the property and /or tracks of said Los Angeles
Salt Lake Railroad Compan and its lessee, Union Pacific Rail-
road Company, to the extent, in the manner and at the location as
specified in said agreement and "Exhibit A" thereto attached.
AND BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to pay to the Union Pacific Railroad Company the sum of Five and
no /100 (A5.00) Dollars, the rental provided for in said agree-
ment.
