RESOLUTION 664-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 1622 and 1624
AND FIXING CERTAIN RATES FOR GENERAL WATER SERVICE
AND CONNECTIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim maintains a water distribution system
for the furnishing of water to residents and inhabitants of the City of Anaheim,
and
WHEREAS, the City sells surplus water outside the City Limits pursuant
to the provisions of Statutes of 1911 Chapter 715 of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary that certain rules and regular.
tions be established and that charges for installation and service be fixed, and.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 626, Section 34 provides that the City Council
shall by Resolution fix installation charges and establish rates to be charged
by the Public Service Department of the City of Anaheim for water installation
and water furnished to consumers and services rendered in connection therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF
ANAHEIM that the following rules and regulations for water installation heretofor
or hereafter made and rates for such installation and for water furnished and for
services rendered in connection therewith be, and the same are hereby established
as follows, to —wit:
1. The rates applicable to all consumers of water from City owned.
and maintained water mains within the city limits of the City of Anaheim:

Next 49,250 cubic feet 12¢ per 100 cu. ft.
Over 50,000 1111¢ per 100 cu. ft.
(a) For metered services through:

(b) When water is supplied to more than one lot or more than one
dwelling or building occupied by more than one family through

City of Anaheim a deposit equal to an estimated two months' bills. The minimum
deposit shall be $10,00. In the event that any consumer's account shall become
delinquent, the amount of such delinquency shall be deducted from the said deposi

BB IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above rates are monthly charges and
shall become effective March 10, 1951, and shall continue thereafter until
changed by the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following schedule of charges be made
and collected by the City of Anaheim for new water service connections:

All water service connections requiring the installation of a larger
than 2 inch connection shall be made at a charge equivalent to the cost of
installation, including overhead.
The installation of any special services not covered by this Resolution,
or specifically provided for in any other existing Ordinance or Resolution of the
said City of Anaheim and any fire lines, shall be made on the basis of cost,
including overhead.
Application for such installations larger than 2 inch and special
services and fire lines shall be made to the Department of Water and Power and
the Superintendent of the Department of Water and Power shall estimate the cost
of said installation and shall then demand of the applicant a deposit of a sum
of money equivalent to the estimated cost, including overhead. In the event
that the cost of said installation should be less than the amount so estimated,
the excess, if any, shall be refunded to the applicant. If the cost of said
installation exceeds the estimate so made, theca the said Superintendent of the
Department of Water and Power shall make a further demand upon the applicant for
such additional sum as may be necessary to cover the cost, including overhead.
If it is necessary to cut any pavement for any installation, an
additional charge of $20.00 will be made and collected.
If the installation requires an extra heavy cast iron meter box, an
additional charge of $20.00 will be made.
Title to all equipment and materials furnished shall remain for all
time in the said City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing connection charges shall
become effective March 10, 1951.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 1622 and. Resolution No. 16241
be and the same are hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 27th day
of February, 1951.
