RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OP ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA,
STATING TEE RESULT OF THE CANVASS
OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
BOND ELECTION =X S7PTEMBER 18, 1950.
WNEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
California, by Ordinance No. 762, duly called and provided
for the holding of a special election in said city on September
18, 1950, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters
of said city the proposition set forth in said ordinance and
hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regu-
larly given in time, form and manner as provided by law, and
said election was on said date duly held at the polling places
designated in said ordinance, and the votes cast thereat were
canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and in the
manner and fori provided by law; and
WHEREAS, on this 19th day of September, 1950, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock, ?.M., said City Council has duly assembled
at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of
said election.;
NOw, THEREFORE, the Ci ty Council of the City of Anaheim,
California, DOES 1-ETIEBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the special election for the purpose
of submitting to the voters of the City of Anaheim the bond propo-
sition hereinafter set forth was duly held on September 1P, 1950,
and the votes cast thereat were duly and regularly canvassed and
the returns thereof made at the tine and in the form and manner
required by law.
Section 2. That the bond proposition voted upon at
said election is as Loliows, to wit:
BOND PROPOSITION: Shall the City of Anaheim incur
a bonded indebtsdnese in the principal sum of ,!11,040,000.00
for the purpose of the acquisition and construction for the
City of Anaheim of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
additional sanitary sewers and sewage disposal facilities,
including (1) additions: of main trunk, interceptor and
lateral sewers to the sewer system of the City of Anaheim;
(2) that undivided part or share, which is to be owned and
paid for by the City of Anaheim of (a) additions to and
enlargements of the sewage treatment plant and chlorination
plant jointly owned by the City of Anaheim and other cities
and sanitary diatricts, (b) reconstruction and replacement
of portions of the jointly owned outfall sewer carrying
sewage from said treatment plant, and (c) an additional
main trunk sewer, with connecting lines, to carry sewage
to said sewage treatment plant (said reconstruction and re-
placement of portions of said outfall sewer, said additions
to and enlargements of the sewage treatment plant and
chlorination plant, and said additional main trunk sewer,
to be jointly owned and paid for by the City of Anaheim
and other public corporations)?
Section 3. That this C1t Council has &1y canvassed
the returns of said election and from said returns it appears,
and this City Council finds that the total number of votes cast
in each of the reepectivs election precincta established for
said election upon said proposition, and the number of votes
therein for and against said proposition, and the total number
of votes cast in said city upon said proposition and for and
a7ainst said proposition in said city are as follows:

Section 4. That the votes of more than two-thirds
of all of the voters voting at said election were cast in
favor of the adoption of said proposition, and said proposi-
tion is hereby declared to be carried, and this City Council
is authorized to issue bonds of said City pursuant thereto
as provided by law.
