RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL VALVE PIT BETWEEN TANK NO. 1
AND N0. 2 AS AN ADDITION TO CONTRACT WORK ON THE SITE OF THE
PRESENT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, heretofore by proper Resolution, the various Cities and Sanitary
Districts which are parties signatory to certain Agreements covering ownership,
maintenance, construction, and operation of the facilities known as Orange County
Joint 0utfall Sewer authorized the City of Santa Ana to call for bids and award
a contract for the construction of a 75 foot digestor unit and certain other works
as the same designated by the Engineering Firm of Koebig Koebig; and
WHEREAS, it now appears desirable to the proper completion of such works and
unit, that an addition be made to the contract work; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Fred J. Early, Jr. Co. Incorporated has agreed and
proposes to complete such additional work for the sum of One Thousand Seven
Hundred Dollars ($1,700.00) over and above all other contract prices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana as contracting
City be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with Fred J. Early, Jr. Co. Incorporated to do and complete at their own proper
expense, all work as detailed in Drawing No. 1, Koebig Koebig, dated August 4,
1950 and nominated "Additional Valve Pit between Tank No. 1 and No. 2" in accord-
ance with its contract plans and specifications for and in consideration of the
additional sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,700.00).
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED: That City of Anaheim hereby promises and agrees to
pay its percentage of total cost of such additional work as such percentage is set
out in the joint Agreement and supplements thereto, hereinabove referred to, for
the joint construction of additional facilities.
BE IT PUTHER RESOLVED: That any offer heretofore made to sell the sewage
pipe -lines and treatment plant is hereby modified to the extent that the percent
of total cost of said digestor unit above referred to that is paid by City of
Anaheim and such percent of total cost of any other additional facility that is
paid by City of Anaheim shall be and is hereby added to the price asked to effect
a sale and transfer of title to any agency or group of contracting districts.
