Pleas e vote no agains t this high dens ity apartment complex propos ed at the Festival Shopping Center.
There is jus t too much traffic on Santa Ana Canyon Road and Weir Road from local homeowners there now and from people traveling to and from work us ing thes e
routes s ince the 91 freeway is badly conges ted, particularly at late afternoon and night.
The las t time there was a big emergency due to the fire mos t of the roads , Santa Ana Canyon where Canyon imperial Highway were gridlocked. The police and fire
s hut down one lane in each direction, caus ing near s tands till traffic on the road. Adding that many more cars due to the number of apartment units propos ed creates
a s erious hazard for everybody currently living in the area.
It took me me an hour and a half to get from the Canyon Hills library around to La Palma Ave. and the entrance to the regional park where my daughter lives and we
were evacuated too.
The s tate mandate for additional hous ing does not, and s hould not s upers ede the s afety and security of thos e living in an area already. We don’t need a res ult and
los s of life and s tructures s imilar to the Pacific Palis ades and or Pas adena/Alta Dena fires.
Jus t vote No from a 52 year res ident of Anaheim Hills .
