A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF KOEBIG
KOEBIG, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, TO PREPARE DE-
TAILED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THAT PORTION
OF THE MAGNOLIA TRUNK LINE OF THE JOINT OUTFALL
SEWER AT THE CROSSING' OF THE SANTA. ANA FREEWAY
AND TO SUPERVISE THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF; FIX-
ING THEIR COMPENSATION AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM TO ACT AS THE CONTRACTING AGENT FOR
THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE JOINT OUTFALL SEWER
GROUP.
WHEREAS, the State Highway Deuartment of tbe State of
California is constructing the Santa Ana Freeway which intersects
and crosses Magnolia Street where the Magnolia line of the Joint
Outfall Sewer is to be constructed; and
WHEREAS, it is urgently necessary that the nortion of
the Lagnolia line of the Joint Outfall Sewer crossing the freeway
right-of-way be constructed immediately and before said highway
surfacing has been done.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TH:, CITY OF ANAHEIM that the employment of Koebig Koebig, Consult-
inc, Engineers, to prepare detailed plans and specifications for the
construction of that portion of the. Magnolia trunk line of the Joint
Outfall Sewer at the crossing of the Santa Ana Freeway and to super-
vise the construction thereof, be ond it is hereby authori and
op)roved, and that said firm of consulting engineers be so employed,
and that the City of Anaheim act as contracting agent for the member
of thd Joint Outfall Sewer group participating in the construction
of said Magnolia trunk line; and enter into and award contracts
for such engineering and construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Koebig Koebig be
paid comp :i'or said services their actuol payroll costs plus
805 for overhead and 15% of combined payroll and overhead olus
actual costs of traveling, subsistence, blueprinting and miscellan-
eous costs; travelin-; expenses snail be comouted on the basis of

/0. cents per mile; that detailed and itemized statements shall be
presented to the City of Anaheim as such contracting agent for the
members of the Joint Outfall Sewer group, monthly; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim hereby
promises and agrees to pay its percentage of the total cost of
such services and construction of that portion of the Magnolia trunk
line of the Joint Outfall Sewer at the crossing of the Santa Ana
Freeway as such )ercentage is set out in the agreement and supple-
ments thereto for the joint construction of additional facilities,
made and entered into by and between the members of the Joint Out-
fall Sewer Group.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any offer hereafter made to
sell the sewer pipe lines, sewerage system and equipment and facil-
ities for maintenance and operation of the Joint Outfall Sewer
System lying within Orange County Sanitation Districts 2 and 3 north
of Ellis Avenue as they now exist which include the percentage of
the total cost of said Magnolia trunk line as above referred to that
is paid by the City of Anaheim and such percentage of the total cost
of any additional facilities or improvements that are paid by the
City of Anaheim shall be and is hereby added to any price asked to
effect a sale and transfer of title thereto to any agency, district,
or group of contracting agencies or districts.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and si:ned by me
this 20 day of June, 1950.
