To Whom it May Concern,
Please reconsider your yes vote for the Festival Center project. Adding this additional housing development will be
horrible for our community. Being a resident of Anaheim Hills for the past 27 y ears, we have seen traffic become a
nightmare. There are numerous days, each month, where traffic is so bad on our street that we cannot even get into
our driv eway coming home from work. We get flipped off and told to f off by those who use our street as a cut-through
to get to the 91 east bound. If we need to leave our property we are in the same situation. God forbid we hav e a
medical emergency or worse and are unable to get out of our own driveway. When we had to ev acuate for the fire in
2008, it was the scariest day of my life. Being at home with my 2 dogs and 3 tortoises and hav ing a helicopter fly ov er
my house and announce to leave immediately was terrifying. I packed as many things as I could and loaded my
animals up in the car. As I drove down Santa Ana Canyon it was a slow crawl and all I could see was smoke and flames
in my rearview mirror. Driving away from my home and not knowing if it would still be there was such a sad a stressful
situation for me and my family. If another major fire comes through our area, having this Festival C enter
development will only add to the chaos and difficulty of having to evacuate. Many liv es could be lost as well as
homes. I feel it is selfish for the council members of Anaheim who are considering v oting y es to this project. Due to
the existing traffic issues and the untested fire evacuation plan, if any of these housing projects get approv ed, we're
headed for a "death trap" like the one seen in Lahaina, where people burned alive in their cars trying to escape. The
council members who choose to approve this project will be held personally responsible for any loss of life that occurs
from an untested evacuation plan.
Please do the right thing and think about the people, wildlife, community, and quality of life for the indiv iduals who will
be impacted by this reckless decision.
Sincerely,
Anthony Chiusolo
