RESOLUTION NO. a 73~'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O F
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER DEED FOR
THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY TO ERIC M. RODDICK AND
HELEN Is. RODDICK, HUSBAND AND WIFE, AS JOINT
TENANTS.
WHEREAS, The City of Anaheim is the owner of the herein-
after described real property, and
WHEREAS, said real property is no longer needed for
municipal purposes, and
V'1HEREAS, The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereto-
fore adopted Resolution Ito. 1?28 accepting the offer of Eric Id.
Roddick and Helen L. Roddick, husband and wife, to purchase said
real property hereinafter described for the sum of Twenty-one
Hundred (2100.00) Dollars, payable as follows, to-wit: One
Thousand (1000.00) Dollars upon the execution of the contract of
purchase and the balance of the purchase price at the rate of
Two Hundred Seventy-five 0275.00) Dollars per month, commencing
on the 2'7th day of March, 1950, and the sum of Two Hundred Seventy-
five (~2'~5.00) Dollars on the 27th day of each and every month
thereafter until said sum of Twenty-one Hundred 02100.00) Dollars
shall have been paid in full, together with interest thereon at
the rate of :n'o per cent (f3~+`? per annum, and
WHEREAS, the said Eric M. Roddick and Helen L. Roddick,
husband and wife have tendered to the City the full purchase price
for real property for the sum of Twenty-one Hundred 02100.00}
Dollars and requested th.e City of Anaheim to execute and deliver a
deed conveying said property to them as husband and wife as point
!i tenants with right of survivorship, and it appearing to the City
Council that it would be to the best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said tender and. to execute and deliver the deed
aforesaid.
NO~~', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of

the City of Anaheim that the offer and tender of Eric M. Roddick
and Helen L. Roddick, husband and wife, to purchase the hereinafter
described property as joint tenants with the right of survivorship
for the sum of Twenty-one Hundred (.2100.00) Dollars cash, be and
the same is hereby accented and that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim be and they are hereby authorized anal
directed to make, execute and deliver to the Reliance Title Company
in Santa Ana, California, a grant deed conveying said real property
to Eric M. Roddick and Helen L. Roddick, husband and wife, as joint
tenants, to be delivered to said grantees upon payment to the City
of Anaheim of the sum of Twenty-one Hundred (2100.00) Dollars
cash lawful money of the United States.
Said real property is situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, and is more particularly
described as follows, to-wit:
A tract of land in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, including a portion of the SVV4 of
the SE4 of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 Ulest,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and also being a portion
of Lots 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49 of the Schaffer-Oswald. Sub-
division, as shown on a map thereof filed in Book '7, Page
41, T~Ziscellaneous i~Taps, Records of Orange County, said
tract of land being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north line of East La Palma
Avenue, said point being 30 feet north of the monumented
center line of said East La Palma Avenue and 596.87 feet
east of the monumented center line of North Olive Street;
thence northwardly along a line parallel to the said monu-
mented center line of North Olive Street a distance of
240 feet to a point, said point being the true point of
beginning; thence continuing Northwardly along a line
parallel to the said monumented center line of North
Olive Street a distance of 140 feet to a point; thence
East along a line para11e1 to the north. line of said East
La Palma Avenue a distance of 188.81 feet, more or less,
to a point on the westerly line of Pauline Street as dedi-
cated for public use by Resolution No. 1614 passed by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim on June 8th, 1948,
said point also being 30 feet west of the East City Limit
Line of the City of Anaheim; thence Southaxardly along the
westerly line of said Pauline Street and parallel to said
East City Limit Line a distance of 140 feet to a point;
thence West along a line parallel to the north line of
said East La Palma Avenue a distance of 189.22 feet, more
or less, to the true point of beginning, containing 0.61
acres, more or less.

The above parcel subject to a 5-foot easement, running
north and south, for utilities along the westerly line
of said parcel.
The North Olive Street referred to in the above descrip-
tion is the Olive Street conveyed to the City of Anaheim
by Deed recorded February 1, 1926, in Book 625 of Deeds,
page 36'7, Orange County Records.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
