Dear City Council,
For the following reasons, you must vote NO on the proposed Festival apartment project:
1) Festival Theater traffic has already been replaced, and exceeded, with Waze/traffic apps DAILY rerouting
91fwy traffic through the East Hills!!!
2) With 3 hour evacuation times, to go 2 1/2 miles from Weir to Imperial Highway, it is irresponsible and
dangerous to add more residents to Anaheim Hills, until the infrastructure has been improved so residents can
evacuate in a timely & safe manner. A crossing at Fairmont is not going to vastly improve this situation, and
much more must be done to improve evacuation times and safety before more residents are added to the
area.
3) T he Know Your Way plan is flawed:
People will NOT head East towards the fire to evacuate.
People with loved ones at home or at private schools will 100% come back into the area to get loved ones.
(there are no staged buses to evacuate the many private schools & daycares in the area when there are
high winds)
Until these issues are resolved, no additional housing should be added to this VERY HIGH FIRE SEVERIT Y
ZONE.
