Dear City of Anaheim Officials,
I am writing to express serious concerns regarding the proposed housing development planned for the Festival Center location in Anaheim Hills,
where the movie theater is currently located.
Traffic congestion in this area is already extremely challenging. Access to the 91 Freeway between approximately 4:00 and 7:00 PM is often at a
standstill, and day-to-day travel within the neighborhood has become increasingly difficult. Adding approximately 600 housing units could
potentially introduce 1,200 additional vehicles to an already overwhelmed roadway system.
Beyond daily traffic concerns, public safety is a major issue. During the most recent fire in our area, it took nearly three hours to evacuate the
neighborhood. That experience highlighted how limited our evacuation routes already are. Increased density without significant infrastructure
improvements could create dangerous conditions during future emergencies.
I respectfully ask that the City carefully reconsider this project.
