1950-1720 RESOLUTION No. 1 2 3 4 5 6 ~~ ~~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE USE OF LA PALM. PARK AND STADIUM FOR SPRING TRAINING FOR THE SEASOP+ OF 1950 BY THE SANTO BASEBALL ASSOCIATION, INC. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, a Municipal Corporation, owns and maintains t certain park known and designated as LA PALMA PARK, and WHEREAS, the Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. of the Pacific Coast 7 League, desires the use of said park for its spring training season of 1950, and 8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that the use of 9 said park by said Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. will not conflict with the 10 se of said park by any other organization or by the City, and that its use by said 11 Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. will be of public benef it; 12 N04r`, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TSE CITY COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF ANAHEIM 13 that the Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. of the Pacific Coast League, be and 14 it is hereby given the right to use said La Palma Park and stadium for its spring 15 training for the season of 1950 upon the following terms and conditions: I6 1. That said Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. pay to the City of 17 Axiaheim as rental for the use of said park and stadium during said spring training 18 season of 1950 the sum of $10.00 for each and every day during said season commenc- 19 ing on the date of arrival of said Sacramento Baseball Club during their occupancy 20 and use of said park and stadium to and including their date of departure and the 21 release of said premises to the City of Anaheim which said rental shall be paid 22 upon demand of the City of Anaheim. 23 2. That the City of Anaheim shall maintain said baseball park in a neat 24 manner. 25 3. The City of Anaheim does hereby retain all rights to grant concessiox 26 ~, concession rights to any person or organization it may choose. 27 4. The Sacramento Baseball Association, Inc. shall carry property damagE 28 insurance in the svm of $5,000.CO; public liability insurance in the sums of $25, 29 000.00 and $100,400.00; and adequate compensation insurance satisfactory to the 30 City of Anaheim, all in companies satisfactory to the City of Anaheim, during said 3 1 spring training season, all of which policies of insurance shall contain a clause 32 or clauses protecting the City of Anaheim against liability or damages arising out
