1. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY 07 ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR TEE 1NNEILTION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE BODIES OF
THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR
AND PLACE WHERE AHD WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING HEAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH
TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL
AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM.
WESSELS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 23rd day of
Augnst, 1949, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory de-
scribed in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim, and
WEEMS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim
is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to
the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a
description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolur-
tion described, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that
at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition, it was and now is signet
by owners of not less than onemfourth of the area and not less than one fourth
of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be annexed
county
according to the last preceding equalised /assesement roll, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and
from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petitio
that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not
form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was tainhabited,
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and
WESBZAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and rem
ports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to
the City of Anaheim are as follows, torit t
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line of the City of Anaheim,
said point being on the north line of West La Palma Avenue 156.32 -feet west
of the east line of Lot 10, Miles Rancho, as shown on a map recorded in Book
4, page 7, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County; thence North,
parallel with said east line of Lot 10, a distance of 150 feet; thence West,
parallel with said north line of West La Parma Avenue, a distance of 174.66
feet; thence North, parallel with said east line of Lot 10, a distance of
480 feet; thence West, parallel with said north line of West La Palma Avenue,
to a point on the west line of West Street; thence South along said west line

of West Street a distance of 153.20 feet; thence West, parallel with said
north line of West La Palma Avenue, a distance of 495.40 feet; thence South,
parallel with said west line of West Street, a distance of 451.80 feet;
thence West, parallel with'said north line of West La Palma Avenue, a
distance of 409.20 feet; thence ]forth, parallel with said wrest line of West
Street, a distance of 275 feet; thence West, parallel with said north line
of West La Palma Avenue, a distance of 556.77 feet; thence North, parallel
with the east line of Euclid Avenue, a distance of 56.7 feet; thence West,
at right angles, a distance of 80 feet to a point on the east line of lot 3,
as shown on a Licensed Surveyor's Map recorded in Book 1, page 55, Record
of Surveys, Orange County; thence South along said east line of said Lot 3,
a distance of 90 feet, more or less, to the southeast corner of said It 3;
thence West along the south line of said Lot 3 to the southwest corner of
said lot; thence North along the west line of said Lot 3 to a point on the
east«andwrest center line of Lot 2 as shown on said Licensed Surveyor's Map
filed in said Record of Surveys; thence West along said east. west center
line of said Lot 2 to a point on said east line of Buclid Avenue; thence
South along said east line of Euclid Avenue to a point on the south line
of said West La Palma Avenue; thence Nast along said south line of West La
Palma Avenue a distance of 1290 feet to a point on the present city limit
line of said City of Anaheim; thence North along said present city limit
line distance of 60 feet; thence Bast along said north line of West Ia
Palma Avenue and along the present city limit line to the point of beginning.
That such proposed annexation be designated as WBST L► PATINA ANN]GYLTION
and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given, and
BE IT PURTBER RESOLVED that the 13th day of September, 1949, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of
Anaheim, be and the same is hereby fixed as the day hour and place when and where
any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed,
and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City
Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory should not be so
annexed; that all persons having any objections to such proposed annexation are
hereby notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to show cause, if any
they have, why such territory should not be so annexed, and
BN IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorise
and directed to publish or cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at leas
once a week for two successive weeks prior to the 13th day of September, 1949, in
the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California.
Resolution Be. 1687, passed July 12, 1949, is hereby rescinded.
THE PCRBGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 23rd day of
Augus t 1949.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 23rd day of August, 1949,
by the following vote of the members thereof:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CNBTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved
and signed said Resolution on the 23rd day of August, 1949,
