RESOLUTION NO. 1657
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING COUNSEL TO
ASSIST THE CITY ATTORNEY IN LITIGATION
IN WHICH THE CITY OF ANAHEIM IS A PARTY
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is named as a defendant in
that certain action pending in the Superior Court of the State
of California, in and for the County of Orange, entitled "Henry
J. Meiser, Petitioner, -vs- The City of Anaheim, a Municipal
Corporation; Charles Pearson; Robert Boner: Oscar Heying;
Ray Van Wagoner;
Clarence J. Pace; Members of the City Council of the City of
Anaheim, Defendants Number 50876, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore employed S. B.
Kaufman and the firm of McFadden, Turner Owens to assist the
City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable and for the best
interests of the City of Anaheim that they continue to assist the
City Attorney and to represent the City of Anaheim in said action;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM that S. B. Kaufman and the firm of McFadden,
Turner Owens be and they are hereby employed to continue as
special Counsel to assist the City Attorney and to represent the
City of Anaheim in said litigation, and we hereby confirm and
ratify the services heretofore rendered by them.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
25th day of January, 1949.
