NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
RESOLUTION NO. 1634
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNIN-
HABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH
PROPOSED ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
DAY HOUR AND P ACE p'S ANY ERS
OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRI-
TORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW
CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OP ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the
23d day of August, 1948 receive a written petition asking that
certain new territory described in said petition be annexed to
the City of Anaheim,
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of Californi
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited terri
tory, and said petition contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution described,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said petition is
signed by owners of not less than one fourth (1/4) of the area
and not less than one fourth (1/4) of the assessed valuation of
the land in such territory proposed to be annexed, according to
the last preceding equalized assessment roll, and
WHEREAS, said new territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim does not form a part of any municipal corporation
and it appears that said territory is uninhabited, and
WHEREAS, the- boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 6, Miles
Rancho, as per map recorded in Book 4, page 7 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;

running thence West, along the South line of said lot,
150 feet; thence North, parallel with the East line of
said lot, 777 feet, more or less, to the North line of
said lot; thence East, along the North line of said lot,
150 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of
said lot; thence South, along the East line of said lot,
779 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
That such proposed annexation be designated as SOUTH
SPADRA ANNEXATION and that notice of such proposed
annexation be and the same is hereby given, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 5th day of October, 1948
at the hour of :liclock P. M. at the City Council Chamber in
the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be and the same is hereby
fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any person owning
real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed,
and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear
before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause
why such territory should not be so annexed; that all persons
having any objections to such proposed annexation are hereby
notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to show
cause, if any they have, why such territory should not be so
annexed, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to publish or cause a copy of
this Resolution to be published at least once a week for two
successive weeks prior to the 5th day of October, 1948, in
the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation,published
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
16th day of September, 1948.

I, CHARLES E. GRIFFITH, City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted at a Special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, held on the 16th day of September, 1948, by
the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Heying, Boney and Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Pace.
And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
signed and approved said Resolution on the 16th day of September,
1948.
