A RESCLUTICN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE CF REAL
PROPERTY FOR THE ESTA3LISH1AENT OF OFF-STREET
PARKING LOTS.
VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds it
necessary to establish off-street parking areas as near as possible
to Center and Los Angeles Streets in the City of Aneheim ani finds
that the establishment and maintenance of such off-street parking
areas are reasonably necessary and for the benefit and best interests
of the City of Anaheim, and
WHEREAS, the Community Industrial Land Company, a corporation 7
is the owner of the property hereinafter described, and as such
owner of such real property has offered to sell said real property
to the City of Anaheim on the terms hereinafter stated, and that
said real property is suitable and desirable for the establishment
and maintenance of an off-street parking area, and.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that
it is for the benefit and best interests of the City of Anaheim to
accept said offer and purchase said real property on the terms and
conditions hereinafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim further
finds that there will be sufficient funds derived from the 'Parkin
Leter Fund" to pay the purchase price for said real property, and
that any obligation of the City of Anaheim for the purchase of
said property will not and shall not become a charge against the
City General Fund or the credit of the Cy d Anaheim, and that
the owner of said land hcc agreed that the consideration for said
real property shall be paid solely from the "Parking hater Fund",
170W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CI
CF ANAHEIM that the real property hereinafter mentioned and descried
be purchased from the Community Industrial Land Company, a corporal
tion, for the total sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred and

Seventy-Five (5,775.QO) :Dollars, payable as follows, to-wit:
Two Thousand (2,OG0.00) Dollars upon the execution and
delivery to the City of Anaheim of a good and sufficient deed
conveying said property to the City of Anaheim, together with a
Policy of Title Insurance by a reputable title company of Orange
County, California, showing said property vested in said Community
Industrial Land Company, a corporation, free and clear of all
incumbrances except City and County taxes for the fiscal year
1948-49 and subject only to conditions, restrictions, easements,
reservations and rights-of-way of record, and the balance of said
consideration shall be paid annually in installments of Two
Thousand ,C00.00) T;ollars, or more, on the lst day of July
of each and every year, coencing July 1, 1949, and continuing
until the balance of said consideration shall be paid in full,
together with interest on the unpaid balance of said consideration
at the rate of five per cent (5-70) per annum, payable annually, on
the lst day of July of each year, .co:_encing July 1, 1948.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the entire consideration for
the purchase of said real property shall be paid solely from the
special fund of the City of Anaheim designated as the "Parking
'eter Fund" and that no part of the principal nor interest shall
be or become a charge against the City General or general
credit of the City of Anaheim, but it shall be limited solely to
payment from the "Parking Meter Fund."
ND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said. Community Industrial
Land. Company, a corporation, may reserve a vendor's lien upon
said property as security for the unpaid portion of the ourchase
price.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on behalf of said City of
Anaheim, the City Council thereof does hereby accept that certain
Deed with Vendor's Lien, dated August 31, 1948, wherein and whereb
said. Community industrial Land Company conveys to said City of

Anaheim the hereinafter described real property, and which
Deed embraces the terms above set forth and reserves unto said
Community Industrial Land Company a vendor's lien upon said real
property.
Said real property is situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, and more particularly described as follows:
The Northerly 82.5 feet of the Southerly 91.5 feet
of Lot 28, Original City Lots of Anaheim, as recorded
on a map recorded in Book 4 at pages 629 and 630 of
Deeds, Records of Los Angeles.
The foregoing Resolution was approved and signed by me this
14th day of September, 1948.
