The minimum charge shall be the demand charge, but not less than
$9.00 per year
.I_AL CONDITIONS:
a The total charge is the sum of the demand and the energy charges.
('D) The demand charge is payable in five equal installments during
the first five months after the date service is first rendered.
Consumers may select, if satisfactory to the City of Anaheim,
other months in which to pay the demand charge. Energy charge
is payable monthly as energy is used,
.c) This schedule applies to service rendered at 230 volts or over
at the option of the consumer. All necessary transformers to
obtain such voltage will be supplied, owned and maintained by
the City of Anaheim.
(d) Any consumer may obtain the rates for a larger installation by
guarranteeing the rates and demand charge applicable to the
larger installation.
(e) Whenever, upon test, any motor is found to be delivering more
than 125% of its capacity as indicated by its name plate rating,
the City may disregard the name plate rating and base its char-
ges upon the actual output as calculated by test.

lighting, power and heating purposes in Federal, State,
County and Municipal buildings.

(a) No minimum charge will be made on this schedule.
(b) This rate shall aptly to consumers qualifying for this service
as stated above whose entire installation for lighting, heat-
ing, cooking and any other power service is all electric,
permanently connected and regularly used.
(c) All transformers and /or other equipment necessary to supply
the service under this schedule will be furnished, owned and
maintained by the City of Anaheim at the City's expense on
the consumer's premises.
(d) All loads will be metered on the primary side of the trans-
formers supplying said service through one meter.
(e) The City, by suitable regulations, may at any time limit the
amount of additional air heating and water heating load that
the City is obligated to accept under this schedule and may
regulate the hours of use thereof.

month period and shall be paid monthly as it accumulates.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
(a) This schedule applies to service rendered at one standard power
voltage. All necessary transformers to obtain such voltage
will be suprlied, owned and maintained by the City of Anaheim.
(b) Connected load is the sum of the rated capacities of all of
the consumer's equipment that it is possible to connect to the
City's lines at the same time, determined to the nearest 1 /10
HP.
(c) Any consumer may obtain the rate for a larger connected load
by guaranteeing the rate and minimum charge applicable to the
larger connected load.
(d) Whenever, upon test, any motor under normal operating condi-
tions is found to be delivering more than 125 per cent of its
capacity as indicated by its nameplate rating, the City may
disregard the nameplate rating and base its charges upon the
output as calculated from test. Any motor which is billed on
a basis in excess of its nameplate rating in accordance with
this special condition shall be tested each year thereafter
or upon notification by the consumer of a permanent change in
operating conditions.

(e) '.\here X -Ray apparatus is served under this schedule the minimum
Charge applicable thereto shall be as follows:
(1) There X -Ray apparatus is metered separately from the other
load: $2.00 per month, except where transformer capacity is
installed exclusively to serve the X -Ray apparatus, the
minimum charge will be $0.50 per month per KVA of such cap-
acity but not less than $2.00 per month.
(2) Where X -Ray apparatus is metered in combination with other
load: $0.50 per month per KVA of X -Ray apparatus capacity
as established by the City of Anaheim.
(f) No adjustment in minimum charge mill be made for any temporary
reduction of connected load.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
(a) Service shall be supplied at one voltage only :.and additional
lighting transformers, if necessary, shall be supplied by the
consumer.
(b) The billing horsepower shall be the horsepower of measured max
imum demand but in no case shall be less than either: (1) 40$
of the connected motor load, or (2) the highest measured maximum
demand in the preceding eleven months, whichever is the lower,
but not less than 100 N.P. Billing Horsepower shall be determined
to the nearest one -tenth (1 /10) of a horsepower.
(c) The measured maximum demand in any month shall be the average
horsepower input (746 watts equivalent0 indicated or recorded by
instruments to be supplied, owned and maintained by the City of
Anaheim at the City's expense upon the consumer's premises,
adjacent to watt -hour meter, in the fifteen minute interval in
which the consumption of electric energy is greater than in any
other 15- minute interval in the month, or, at the option of the
City, the measured maximum demand may be determined by test or
may be based on a 30- minute interval instead of a 15- minute
interval.

imum demand may be based upon a 5- minute interval.

In the case of hoists, elevators, welding machines, furnaces and
other installations where the energy demandris intermittent, or
subject to violent fluctuations, the measured maximum demand may
be based upon a 5- minute interval.
(d) Any consumer may obtain the rate for a larger Billing Horsepower
by guaranteeing the rate and minimum charge dpplicable to the
larger Billing Horsepower.
Any measured demand ocurring between the hours of 10:00 P.N. and
6:00 A.Ii. of the following day will not be considered in comput-
ing charges under this schedule, provided the Billing Horsepower
shall not be less than 250 HP.
(f) On application of the consumer, where the Billing Horsepower in
any month is not less than 250 HP and where the kilowatt -hours
consumed in that month exceed the lagging reactive kilovolt
empere -hours used in the month, a power factor discount will be
made in that month on suoh excess kilowatt -hours at the rate of
eight tenths (0.8) of a mill per kilowatt -hour. Such discount in
any month shall not exceed ten (10) per cent of the total bill for
the month before applying discount. The total bill after applying
discount shell not be less than the minimum charge. A ratchet
device will be installed on the reactive kilovolt ampere -hour
meter to prevent its reverse operation on leading power factors.

billing horsepower for determination of rate, but shall be
considered to determine hinimun Charge.
