RESOLUTION NO. 1578
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHOR.. IZING TRANSFER OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM METER DEPOSIT TRUST FUND
FROM THE ANAHEIM BRANCH OF THE BANK OF AMERICA TO THE SOUTHERN
COUNTY BANK, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK
AND THE CITY TREASURER. TO MAKE SUCH TRANSFER, AND AUTHORIZING
FUTURE WITHDRAWALS FROM SAID CITY OF ANAHEIM METER DEPOSIT TRUST
FUND.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1490 the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did establish a fund known as "METER DEPOSIT TRUST FUND", and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim desires to transfer
said Meter Deposit Trust Fund from the Bank of America in Anaheim, California, to
the Southern County Bank in the City of Anaheim.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT all monies, funds or revenue now on
deposit in the City of Anaheim, Meter Deposit Trust Fund in the Bank of America
in Anaheim, California, be transferred to the Southern County Bank of Anaheim,
California, on November 1, 1947, and that A. G. Tuma, City Treasurer, and Charles
E. Griffith, City Clerk, are hereby authorized to withdraw said City of Anaheim
Meter Deposit Trust Fund from said Bank of America and transfer the same to said
southern County Bank, and said Bank of America is hereby authorized to honor the
signature of said City Treasurer and said City Clerk for the withdrawal of said
City of Anaheim, Meter Deposit Trust Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all funds deposited in said City of Anaheim,
eter Deposit Trust Fundshall be subject to withdrawal by checks jointly signed
•y the City Treasurer and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the purposes provided by the immediate
receding sentence, the term "City Treasurer" shall be deemed to include any

eputy City Treasurer authorized by said City Council to sign such checks; and the
term "City Clerk" shall be deemed to include any Deputy City Clerk authorized by
said City Council to sign such checks;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all monies hereafter deposited with the
i' ublic Service Department as security for the payment of any charges authorized by
•rdinance No. 626 and No. 703 of the City of Anaheim, or by resolution of said
City Council adopted pursuant thereto, shall be delivered to the City Treasurer
ithin 24 hours after receipt of same and shall be by said Treasurer forthwith

deposited in said account known as "City of Anaheim Meter Deposit Trust Fund
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that monies in said account known as "City of
Anaheim Meter Deposit Trust Fund" may be withdrawn from said account by said City
Treasurer and Cit y Clerk and disbursed as follows;
(a) When any account, for which any deposit has been made, has been
closed, and all monies due thereon have been paid, the amount of such deposit shall;
be delivered to the person entitled thereto;
(b) When any amount for which any deposit has been made, has become
delinquent, so much of such deposit as is necessary to cover the amount of delin—
quency shall be delivered to said Public Service Department;
(c) When any amount for which any deposit has been made, has been
closed, and the person entitled to return of such deposit or any balance thereof
remaining, fails to claim the same, the amount thereof shall be delivered into the
General Fund of the City upon direction of said City Council.
The foregoing Resolution was approved and signed by me this 12th day of
November, 1947.
