RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE
WHEREAS, K. Gladys Woodward and T. Earle Woodward, as owners
of cert4in real property situated at 1204 West Center Street in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California described
as Lot 1 of Eygabroad's Subdivision, Block 1, have filed with the
City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, a petition request—
ing that a variance be granted permitting the remodeling of their
residence on said real property into an apartment house; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from consideration and
investigation of the facts and the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission that:
(1) Special circumstances and exceptional conditions do
exist as to the above described real property that do not apply
generally to the property or classes of uses in the same zone or
district;
(2) That a variance is necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of a substantial property right of said petitioners;
(3) That the granting of such conditional variance will not
be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property
or improvements in the district wherein said property is located,
provided the conditions hereinafter set forth are complied with:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM., that a conditional variance be, and the same is
hereby granted to K. Gladys Woodward and T. Earle Woodward whereby
their residence at 1204 West Center Street, Anaheim, California
may be remodeled into an apartment house consisting of two single
and three double apartments, upon the following conditions:
1. That said applicants supply sufficient garage space for
all tenants of said apartments.

2. That said business shall be operated in accordance with
all laws of the State of California and Ordinances and Regulations
of the City of Anaheim.
3. That the appearance of said real property, including all
buildings and improvements thereon shall be kept and maintained
with a satisfactory appearance in keeping with the uses herein
permitted.
4. That the maintenance and operation of said apartment
house shall comply with all requirements of the Chief of the Fire
Department of the City of Anaheim as to safety and fire prevention.
5. That the City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
said variance permit for good cause.
