2 RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE

WHEREAS, Paul L. Sanford, as owner of certain real property
situated at 205 South Claudina Street, City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as Lots 18, 19 and the
northerly half of Lot 20, Block A, Center Tract, has filed with
the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim a petition
requesting that a variance be granted permitting the use of a
small building at the rear of his residence for a jewelry repair
shop; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from consideration and
investigation of the facts and the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission that:
(1) Special circumstances and exceptional conditions do
exist as to the above described real property that do not apply
generally to the property or classes of uses in the same zone or
district;
(2) That a variance is necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of a substantial property right of said petitioner;
(3) That the granting of such conditional variance will not
be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property
or improvements in the district wherein said property is located,
provided the conditions hereinafter set forth are complied with:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that a conditional variance be, and the same
is hereby granted to Paul L. Sanford for the use of a small
building at the rear of his premises at 205 South Claudina Street,
Anaheim, California, for the operation of a jewelry repair shop,
upon the following conditions:
1. That said business shall be operated in accordance with
all laws of the State of California and Ordinances and Regulations
of the City of Anaheim.
2. That the appearance of said real property, including
all improvements thereon, shall be kept and maintained with a
satisfactory appearance in keeping with the use herein permitted.
3. That the maintenance and operation of said jewelry repair
shop shall comply with all requirements of the Chief of the Fire
Department of the City of Anaheim as to safety and fire prevention
4. That the City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
said variance permit for good cause.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
