3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
4 4A PALMA PARK FOR BASEBALL GAMES AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
5 TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR.

7 WHEREAS, HARRY C. LEDDEL and HENRY C. COIN are the owners
8 of a franchise in the Sunset League Baseball Organization, and
9 WHEREAS, said Harry C. Leddel and Henry C. Cohn have
10 applied to the City of Anaheim .for the right to use La Palma
11 Park for the purpose of training prior to the commencement of
12 the regularly scheduled baseball season in said league, and
13 for the use of La Palma Park for baseball games during the
14 baseball season in said league, and
15 WHEREAS, it appears that said parties desire the use of
16 said park during the evenings on week days and on Sunday after-
17 noons on Sunday for baseball games during said baseball season,
18 and nave offered to pay to the City of Anaheim the sum of Five
19 Hundred and no/100 (4500.00) Dollars cash in advance for the
20 use of said La Palma ))ark, and
21 WHEREAS, it appears to tae City Council that it would be
22 to the advantage, benefit and best interests of the City of
23 Anaheim to grant to said Harry C. Leddel and Henry C. Cohn the
24 right to use said park for said purposes and under certain
25 conditions;
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C OUNCIL LW THE
27 CITY OF ANAHEIM that Harry C. Leddel and Henry C. Cohn be and
28 they are hereby granted the right to use La. Palma Park for
29 training purposes for the baseball olub owned and managed by
30 them, prior to the commencement of the regularly scheduled
31 baseball season in the Sunset League, and the right to use said
32 park for regularly scheduled baseball games during the evenings

on,week days and on the s ternoans on Sundays during the baseball
season in said Sunset League for the 1947 season, upon payment
to the Otty of Anaheim of rental in the sum of Five Hundred and
no /100 (4500.00) Dollar

and lights used while said park is being used by said parties
and to pay for all light bulbs broken or burned out during the
use of said park by said parties, and upon the condition that
said parties will keep the park, stadium, grandstand and bleachers
in a clean and sanitary condition, and that they will clean the
same after each game 'played therein, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said parties be given the use if
e concession at said park during the use thereof for regularly
scheduled baseball games, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim does hereby
reserve the right to use La Palma Park for field and recreational
activities when not in use by said Parties of the Second Part
for training purposes prior to the commen0ement of the baseball
season,, and when not in use for the playing of baseball games
regularly scheduled therein by said Sunset League, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the city Clerk of
the City of Anaheim be and they are hereby authorised and empowered
to enter into a written agreement with said Harry C. Ledde1 and
Henry C. Cohn in accordance with this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION i.s,signed and approved by me this
day of February, 1947.

AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Van Wagoner, Boney and Heying.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Pace.
And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim signed and approved said Resolution on the llthday of
February, 1947.
