There appears to be a tremendous breakdown in this city when it comes to the homeless and homeless-by-
choice issues. Based on my dealings with other surrounding cities such as BUENA PARK, CYPRESS and
STANTON, I can tell you they take care of the issues right away. Sometimes it takes two to three times, but it
is done swiftly and doesn't seem to re-surface. It doesn't take 20+ years like it is taking ANAHEIM. I feel
that CITYNET and MARIPOSA are corrupt organizations because when dealing with HOPE CENT ER for the
majority of the North Spa issues (which Anaheim refuses to link up with for some........reason), a Live person
answers the phone and the issue is dealt with. We are getting NOWHERE in ANAHEIM --- just look at our
20+ year, still on the streets Sovereign Transient by Choice at Knott / Ball, and all of the senior homeless
(many are homeless-by-choice) living on the Disneyland Resort Bus Benches!! T he City of Anaheim continues
to post propaganda videos and lies on their website stating "their new ordinances," yet never enforce them.
After 10 years of dealing with this REVOLVING DOOR, with the Robbins' putting in probably double that,
ANAHEIM IS NOT PERFORMING. ANAHEIM City Council continues to throw more and more money at these
organizations, especially Lauren Justices' MARIPOSA but nothing is changing. On the other hand, HOPE
CENTER proudly answers their phones, dispatches personnel asap, and is transparent with the Public of all of
their accomplishments, unlike CityNet and Mariposa.
The voters of CA voted in PROP 36 yet the Governor of California refuses to fund it. Anaheim mayor and city
council members along with the city of Anaheim legal team should be sending their lobbyists and legal teams
to Sacramento to threaten legal action against the State of California for refusing to fund what the Voters
voted in. But do you? No.
I urge you to FIRE Jim Vanderpool tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/26/2026, and as well
FIRE CITYNET and MARIPOSA immediately!
It is time ANAHEIM joins up with the other cities in the North Spa, HOPE CENTER, because
THEIR PROGRAM IS WORKING AND OURS IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jim Vanderpool, as our City Manager, should have been on top of this homeless crisis from the beginning of
his employment with Anaheim, but he chose not to. We, the residents and business owners have listened to
lie after lie. We have sat through Judge David O. Carter's homeless Hearings BS too. We held out hope time
and time and TIME again with NOTHING in return!
It is inhumane to ignore this issue. It is inhumane for you to cause great stress, sleepless nights and feeling
unsafe in one's own home because you refuse to address this!
There is only TWO OPTIONS for the homeless and homeless-by-choice:
Accept services or serve time. That's it! Those are YOUR RULES!
The Transients-by-Choice cannot just simply live on our streets with their trash, defecation, and many with
drug issues. This have jeopardized MY life and everyone else's who have been trying to enjoy a city safe of
this CONSTANT CRAP!
