A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GIVING NO-

TICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY.

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has ret,
6 ceived a written petition requesting that the hereafter described
7 uninhabited territory be annexed to and included within said City
8 of Anaheim, which is a Municipal Corporation of the State of Cali-
9 fornia.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
11 CITY OF ANAHEIM that it does hereby find that said petition is
12 signed by the owners of not less than one fourth of the area of
13 the land in said territory and representing not less than one
141 fourth of the assessed value of such territory according to the
15 last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange,
16 State of California, where said territory is situated, and does
17 hereby find that said territory is uninhabited and is contiguous
18 to said City of Anaheim and does not form any part of any municipal
19 corporation; and
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice is hereby given of
21
such proposed annexation; and
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said territory is hereby
23 designated as South Palm Street Annexation; and
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said territory is situated
25
in the County of Orange, State of California, and the description

and boundaries of said territory are as follows:

A tract of land in the County of Orange, State of California,
28 being a portion of Lots 27 and 28 of Anaheim Extension as
shown on Map of Survey made' by William Hamel, Licensed Surveyor,
29 and filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County, California, and a portion of Lots 7 and 9
30 of a Re- Plat of Orchard Park Tract as per map recorded in Book
6, Page 7, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, a
31 fornia, the exterior boundary of said tract being more particul-
arly described as follows:

Palm Street, which point is also th No west corner of
the intersection of South Palm Stree ,an est Vermont
Avenue; thence Eastwardly along said Southerly city limit
line, which line is also the North line of West Vermont
Avenue, a distance of 496.84 feet; thence Southwardly along
a line„paa tg,_14g,sonumented center line of South Palm
Street,____ a stance o 990":'00 feet; thence Westwardly along
a line parallel to said Southerly city limit line a distance
of 492 09 et to a point on the West line of South Palm
Street arbor Boulevar thence North along the West line
of South Palm Street, arbor Boulevard, to an intersection
with the South line of West Vermont Avenue; thence North
westwardly to the Northwest corner of the intersection of
South Palm Street and West Vermont Avenue, which is the
point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any person owning real propert
within said territory so proposed to be annexed and having objection
to the such proposed annexation may appear before said City Council
of the said City of Anaheim, at the hour of Eight o'clock p.m. on
the go day of 1946, at the Council Chambers of
the City Hall of Cit of Anaheim at 204 East Center Street,
Anaheim, California, (which hour, day and place are hereby designate
and fixed for the hearing of such objections) and show cause why
said territory should not be so annexed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be published in
the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation published
in said City of Anaheim, at least once a week for two successive
weeks prior to the hearing provided for ih the immediate preceding
paragraph hereof.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City of Anaheim held on the 9th day of July,
1946.
