9 WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that it
10 will be for the best interests of said City to invest said surplus
11 money in War Savings Bonds offered for sale by the Government of

be Thirty -seven Thousand (07,000.00) Dollars, which amount shall

be paid out of the Capital Outlays Fund of said City of Anaheim,

and shall be withdrawn from the Capital Outlays Account of the City
25
of Anaheim with the Anaheim Branch of Bank of America National
26
Trust and Savings Association.

4. That warrants be drawn upon the City Treasurer for
the payment of the moneys out of the account described in the
immediate preceding Paragraph 3 in accordance with the provisions
of said Paragraph 3.

5. That application for the purchase of said bonds be

(California, such application to be made through the facilities of

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM PROVIDING
FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN WAR SAVINGS BONDS WITH MONIES FROM THE
3 CAPITAL OUTLAYS FUND
4, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds

51 and determines that said City of Anaheim has surplus money in its
6 Capital Outlays Fund in the amount of Thirty -seven Thousand
7 ($37,000.00) Dollars, which is not required for the immediate
8 necessitiesof said City; and
1. That the City of Anaheim forthwith purchase United
States War Savings Bonds known and designated as Series F with a
total maturity value of Fifty Thousand 050,000.00) Dollars.
2. That the bonds so to be purchased shall consist of
Ten (10) bonds with a denomination or maturity value of Five Thou-
sand ($5,000.00) Dollars each.

3. That the total amount to be paid for such bonds shall'I
1 Anaheim Branch of Bank of America National Trust and Savings
2 Association.
3 6. That said application for the purchase of said bonds
4 shall be made by the City of Anaheim through its Mayor, Chas. A.
5 Pearson, who is hereby authorized and instructed to make such
6 application in accordance with the terms of this Resolution, and
7 is authorized to sign the name of said City of Anaheim to such
8 application.
9 7. That said bonds shall be purchased and registered
101 in the name of said City of Anaheim as follows: "City of Anaheim,

10. That all monies received upon the redemption of any

and all of said bonds, at or before maturity, shall be forthwith

;placed in said Capital Outlays Fund.

charge, by the Secretary of the Treasury, and hereby authorize+
said Mayor to make arrangements at the time of the purchase of
said bonds to have said bonds so held, with instructions to have
said bonds held for safekeeping through the facilities of said
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, that bank being a fiscal
agent of the United States.
9. That at any time in the future, or from time to
time, as the needs of the City of Anaheim shall require, any of
the bonds so purchased shall be redeemed by said City through its
City Council which shall take such steps as are necessary to effect
the redemption of all or any of said bonds, at or before maturity,
and shall designate the officer of the City of Anaheim who shall
be authorized to make such redemption or redemptions on behalf
of said City.
