Do not click links or open attachments unles s you recognize the s ender and are expecting the mes s age. > Dear Council Member and madam mayor As hleigh, > > I am writing to urge you to vote No on the propos ed Anaheim Hills Festival Center apartment project. > > You don’t need to be a traffic engineer to recognize that Santa Ana Canyon Road is already operating at capacity. On mos t days , routine trips to work or the grocery s tore are difficult and time-cons uming. The notion that we can add more than 400 apartments—bringing roughly 1,300 additional res idents —without creating a s erious public s afety ris k during a wildfire evacuation s imply defies common s ense. > > According to the city’s own reports , current evacuation times already exceed three hours during a fire. To dis mis s an additional s even minutes of delay as ins ignificant is deeply frus trating for thos e of us who live here and would be directly affected. When a sys tem is already failing, adding more s train does not fix it. Approving this project effectively acknowledges that the evacuation plan is inadequate while choos ing to make conditions even wors e. > > Our elected leaders s hould focus on the real, live conditions on our streets—not just projections on a developer’s s preads heet. The res pons ible cours e of action is to protect exis ting res idents and addres s our evacuation challenges before adding more people to an already cons trained area. > > We need s afer, more reliable ways to leave the Hills in an emergency—not more residents trapped with limited options . I res pectfully as k you to vote No on this project. > > I beg of you. Sincerely, Rick Pollgreen Anaheim res ident!
