Most live south of Santa Ana Canyon R d . The only o utlets fo r evacuation are Weir Canyo n, Imperial Hwy, Santa Ana Canyon Rd , Noel Canyo n Rd and Lakeview Av. During the 2017 fire it to o k up to 3 hours for res id ents to evacuate. Las t year d uring the Pac ific Palis ades fire, the evacuation exits were s imilarly b lo cked with traffic. Many residents ab andoned their cars on the ro ad ways to flee to s afety on foot. Unless there is an adequate way for residents to be notified or alerted that evacuati on i s n ecessar y a nd that an evacuation route is capable to handling thousands of cars, th en it is fooli sh to conti nu e to bui ld more housing in Anaheim Hills.
