RESOLUTION NO. 1330
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM PROVIDING
FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN WAR SAVINGS BONDS WITH MONIES FROM THE
CAPITAL OUTLAYS FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
and determines that said City of Anaheim has surplus money in its
Capital Outlays Fund in the amount of Thirty -seven Thousand
37,000.00) Dollars, which is not required for the immediate
necessities of said City; and
WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that it
will be for the best interests of said City to invest said surplus
money in War Savings Bonds offered for sale by the government of
the United States of America;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
1. That the City of Anaheim forthwith purchase United
States War Savings Bonds known and designated as Series F -1942
with a total maturity value of Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) Dollars.
2. That the bonds so to be purchased shall consist of
Ten (10) bonds with a denomination or maturity value of Five
Thousand (,5,000.00) Dollars each.
3. That the total amount to be paid for such bonds
shall be Thirty -seven Thousand ($37,000.00) Dollars, which amount
shall be paid out of the Capital Outlays Fund of said City of
Anaheim with the Southern County Bank of Anaheim, California,
That warrants be drawn upon the City Treasurer for
the payment of moneys out of the account described in the immediate
preceding Paragraph 3 in accordance with the provisions of said
Paragraph 3.
5. That application for the purchase of said bonds be
made to Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, San Francisco,
California, such application to be made through the facilities of
Anaheim Branch of Bank of America National Trust and Savings
Association.

6. That said application for the purchase of said bonds
shall be made by the City of Anaheim through its Mayor, Chas. A.
Pearson, who is hereby authorized and instructed to make such
application in accordance with the terms of this Resolution, and
is authorized to sign the name of said City of Anaheim to such
application.
7. That said bonds shall be purchased and registered
in the name of said City of Anaheim as follows: "City of Anaheim,
a Municipal Corporation of the State of California."
S. That said City Council elects and desires to have
said bonds, so to be purchased, held in safekeeping, without charge,
by the Secretary of the Treasury, and hereby authorizes said Mayor
to make arrangements at the time of the purchase of said bonds to
have said bonds so held, with instructions to have said bonds held
for safekeeping through the facilities of said Federal Reserve
Bank of San Francisco, that bank being a fiscal agent of the
United States.
9. That at any time in the future, or from time to time,
as the needs of the City of Anaheim shall require, any of the bonds
so purchased shall be redeemed by said City through its City Coun-
cil which shall take such steps as are necessary to effect the
redemption of all or any of said bonds, at or before maturity, and
shall designate the officer of the City of Anaheim who shall be
authorized to make such redemption on behalf of said City.
10. That all monies received upon the redemption of any
and all of said bonds, at or before maturity, shall be forthwith
placed in said Capital Outlays Fund.
The foregoing resolution is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of April, 1943.
