RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
No. 1236
WHEREAS, our Heavenly Father in the exercise of Hts
divine discretion has seen fit to summon unto Himself Sarah
Stark Van Wagoner, loving mother of our fellow citizens Ray Van
Wagoner and J. S. Van Wagoner, and
WHEREAS, Sarah Stark Van Wagoner was an ideal represen-
tative of the sterling pioneer stock which brought civilization
to the West, and
WHEREAS, the physical suffering which burdened her
later years was lightened by her deep seated faith, and
WHEREAS, her life was a model of Christian faith and
practice, and
WHEREAS, her passing came as a great blow to her
children who revered her,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it deeply mourns the passing of Sarah
Stark Van Wagoner, and in the name of and on behalf of the people
of the City of Anaheim it extends to her devoted sons Ray Van
Wagoner and J. S. Van Wagoner its deepest sympathy in their
bereavement, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of said City Council and that copies thereof
be forwarded to Councilman Ray Van Wagoner and to Mr. J. S.
Van Wagoner.
The foregoing Resolution was signed and approved by me
this 8th day of April, 1941.
