RESOLUTION NO. 1222
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of that certain real property
described as Lot 12, Block 1, Lot 7, Block 2, Lots 1 and 4 in Block 3 and Lot 1,
Block 7, all in Tract No. 30 "Mills Park Tract," and
WHEREAS, said lots have been acquired by said City, by deed from the
County Tax Collector of the County of Orange, State of California, in such cases
made and provided, and by the purchase of quitclaim deeds from the former owners
of the fee title, and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has no use for said property or any part
thereof for public purposes, and the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interests of said City that the said property
should be sold and conveyed into private ownership, in order that the same may
again be placed upon the tax rolls of the City of Anaheim and the County of
Orange, and
WHEREAS, there is now outstanding and unpaid a 1911 Act Bond, Series
No. One of the City of Anaheim against each of these lots as follows: Lot 1,
Block 7, Bond No. 79, principal amount unpaid $1,500.48; Lot 12, Block 1, Bond
No. 99, principal amount unpaid $489.57; Lot 7, Block 2, Bond No. 106, principal
amount unpaid $1,516.36; Lot 1, Block 3, Bond No. 112, principal amount unpaid
$349.02; and Lot 4, Block 3, Bond No. 115, principal amount unpaid $128.79, mak-
ing a total amount of $3,984.72 principal past due on this group of bonds (this
is without interest or penalties), and
WHEREAS, an offer of Two Hundred and Twenty -five ($225.00) Dollars, has
been made for the purchase of said group of five (5) lots, by a private individual
and as part consideration of the acceptance of such offer, the buyer agrees to
deliver the five bonds listed above in the principal sum of $3,934.72, together
with all unpaid principal and inteest coupons, to the City Treasurer for cancel-
lation at the time tithe City's deed is delivered,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ana-
heim that it does hereby declare that it intends to and will at the regular meet-
ing of said Council, to be held on the 13th day of February, 1941, sell the right,
title and interest of the City of Anaheim in said property at the price and under
the conditions as set forth above, to the person who has offered in writing to

purchase the same at said price, unless at said meeting the City Council shall
receive a bid for said property at least ten (10 per cent in excess of said bid
of Two Hundred and Twenty -five ($225.00) Dollars, in which event said property
will be sold to the highest bidder for cash at said meeting, who will agree to
comply with the conditions as set forth above, and the Mayor and City Clerk_
will thereupon be directed to make, execute and deliver a deed conveying the
right, title and interest of said property to the said highest bidder upon the
receipt of the amount bid and the actual delivery of the said bonds for cancel-
lation. Said City Council reserves the right to reject any bid which does not
comply with the terms of this resolution or of any bid from any person whom it
shall deem in its sole discretion not to be a responsible bidder.
The foregoing resolution is approved and signed by me this 4th day
of February, 1941.

regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 4th day

AYES: COUNCILMEN, Pearson, Van Wagoner, Yungbluth, Martenet,Jr. and Sheridan.
NOES: COUNCILMEN, None,
ABSENT AND NOT VOTING: COUNCILMEN, None.
And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved
and signed said resolution on the 4th day of February, 1941.
