RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPONSOR'S
AGREEMENT WITH W. P. A.
WHEREAS, this City of Anaheim is a member of the Joint Outfall Sewer
Agreement under the terms of which there has been constructed and there is being
maintained and operated a sanitary outfall sewer to serve the cities of Santa Ana,
Orange, Fullerton, Anaheim and certain Sanitary Districts in the County of Orange,
WHEREAS, the parties to said agreement have agreed to proceed with the
construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant to be operated in conjunction with said
outfall sewer, and
WHEREAS, the parties to said agreement have employed Messrs. Koebig
Koebig, Sanitary Engineers, to prepare plans and specifications for the said
construction work and said plans and specifications have been so prepared by said
engineers, and the same have been approved by the Administrative Committee for
the Construction of the Treatment Plant, and approved and ratified by each of the
parties or members of said Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement and the State Department
of Public Health, and its Chief Sanitary Engineer, and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to proceed with said construction work by a
plan wherein the Work Projects Administration of the Federal Government furnishes
part of the necessary labor and part of the necessary material to be used in said
construction work, and
WHEREAS, under the proposal to so proceed the Sponsor therein is re-
quired to furnish approximately $115,015.00 for material and labor, and
WHEREAS, under the law and said Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement as last
amended, the City of Santa Ana is designated as the contracting City for the
parties to said agreement, and
WHEREAS, it becomes necessary for said City of Santa Ana to act as
signatory sponsor under said proposal to obtain Federal aid through the Work
Projects Administration, and

WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is willing that the City of Santa Ana
shall act as such Sponsor, and agrees to pay into a fund in the possession of
the City of Santa Ana, its proportionate part of the Sponsor's share of the cost
of the said construction, as required for doing said work;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does resolve
as follows:
That the City of Santa Ana as contracting City for the parties to said
Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement is hereby authorized by the City of Anaheim to
execute the Sponsor's proposal to the Work Projects Administration of the Federal
Government, on behalf of each member of said agreement, and in particular on
behalf of this City of Anaheim and this City of Anaheim does hereby agree to pay
to the City of Santa Ana, as required by said City of Santa Ana, to meet the ex-
pense of such construction, not less frequently than once each month, its pro-
portionate share of such costs and expenses, to be used by the City of Santa Ana
for such purposes only, and that the portions thereof to be paid by the various
parties to said agreement are as follows:
