A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING SPECIAL PERMITS TO MOVE TWO (2) RESIDENTIAL
STRUCTURES FROM 329 AND 403 SOUTH PHILADELPHIA STREET TO
AGENCY-OWNED LAND AT 612 AND 616 SOUTH LEMON STREET IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency intends to relocate and restore
the residential structures currently located at 329 and 403 South Philadelphia Street (the
"Structures"); and
WHEREAS, the Structures are currently deteriorated and in need of restoration;
and
WHEREAS, a written application (the "Application") has been filed with the City
of Anaheim for Special Permits to move the Structures from 329 and 403 South
Philadelphia Street to 612 and 616 South Lemon Street, Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, the Application having been set for public hearing on the 25th day of
January 2000, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., and notice of the time and place fixed for such
public hearing having been given by mail to all persons residing within a radius of three
hundred (300) feet from the property upon which it is proposed to move the Structures at
least (10) days prior to the date fixed for the hearing, as the names of such owners
appeared upon the last available tax assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the matter having come on regularly for hearing upon such date and
such hearing having been duly held and to be heard and the City Council having duly
considered the Application for the Special Permits, together with all evidence and reports
submitted in connection therewith, does find that such permit should be granted for the
following reasons:
That the Structures proposed to be moved are comparable in value size,
quality, design and appearance, to the historic homes located to the west of
the location to which the houses are to be moved; and
That the Structures will not be detrimental to nor diminish the value of
property in the area; and
That the Structures will conform to the provisions of Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code applicable to the property upon which they will
be located.
That the relocation and restoration of the Structures has been determined
not to have a significant effect on the environment and which shall be
exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act
CCEQA") per Section 16301 (d) of the Guidelines for CEQA.
NOW, THEEFOE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Application for the Special Permits to move two (2) residential
structures as hereinabove described in, Anaheim, California, be, and the same is hereby
granted subject to compliance with all of the provisions of Title 15 and 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of January 2000.
