RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF RAIR AND
RECONSTRUCTION OF SECTION 2 JOINT OUTFALL SEWER
WHEREAS, the City of ,Ana elm is part owner of Section
2 of the Joint Outfall Sewer, and as such bias representation on the
executive committee of said joint outfall sewer; and
WHEREAS, the sewer pipe lines and appurtenances of said Section
2 are in need of immediate repair or reconstruction, as indicated by
the report, plans, specifications and recommendations of the committee
of engineers submitted to said executive committee on August 11, 1937;
and
WHEREAS, said executive committee did, on the 11th day of August,
1937, adopt a resolution accepting said engineers' report and sub-
mitting certain recommendations to the legislative bodies of the
several cities and sanitary districts comprising said Section 2, a
copy of which said resolution has been received and considered by
this City Council; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the agreement whereby this City was
admitted into part ownership of said joint outfall sewer, the City
of Anaheim is recognized as contracting city for said Section 2.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of haim that said report and plans of the committee
of engineers and said recommendations of the executive committee
be and the same are hereby accepted and approved, and that the mayor
and city clerk of this city be and they are hereby authorized to sign
said plans in behalf of said city; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by this City Council, as follows, pro-
vided that the legislative body of each of the cities and sanitary
' districts comprising said Section 2 adopt a like resolution:

1- That the City of Anaheim, as contracting city for said
Section 2, be and it is hereby authorized to prepare and submit to
the Works Progress Administration an application for Federal aid in
the repair and reconstruction of the sewer pipe lines and appurten-
ances of said Section 2, and that the City of Anaheim be
recognized as a co- sponsor in said proposed project application.
2- That this City Council take immediate steps toward the
financing of this city's share of the expense of the proposed repair
ah;.d; reconstruction of said sewer lines and appurtenances of said
Section 2, and that the City of Anaheim be officially notified as to
how and when such financing will be accomplished.
3- That the committee of engineers consisting of E. P.
Hapgood, Grover L. halters, C. C. Bonebrake and John B. Sanks, con -
tinuerrtc act as supervising committee on this proposed reconstruction
with authority to employ such engineering and clerical help as may
be necessary for the proper prosecution of the work, subject to the
approval of the contracting city.
The above and foregoing resolution is hereby approved by me this
17th day of August , 1937.
