lighting, heating, cooking and any other power service
is all-electric, permanently connected and. regularly
used.
(c) All transformers and/or other equipment necessary to
supply the service under this schedule 'will be furnished,
owned and maintained by the City of Anaheim at the Cityls
expense on the consumerts premises.
(d) All loads will be metered on the primary side of the
transformers supplying said service through one meter.
(e) The City, by suitable regulations, may at any time limit
the amount of additional air heating and water heating
load that the City is obligated to accept under this
schedule and may regulate the hours of use thereof.

SPECI CONDITIONS:
(a) This schedule applies to service rendered at standard volt-
ages at the option of the consumer. All necessary trans-
formers to obtain such voltage will be supplied, owned and
maintained by the City.
fib) The Billing Horsepovrer shall be the horsepower of connected
load, except when the installation has a connected load of
not less than 50 HP and consists of at least two units, in
irhich event the 3illing horsepower may be based on the horse -
>ower of measured maximum de.,
subject to the provisions
(a) that the Billing Horse shall not be less than
either: (1) 40jo of the connected load, or (2) the highest
measured maximum demand in the preceding eleven months,
whichever is the lower, and (b) that the minimum charge
shall not be less than $50.00 per month or $600.00 per year.
Billinf Horsepower shall be determined to the nearest one -
tenth 1/10) of a horsepower.

(c) The measured maximum demand in any month shall be the
average horsepower input (746 watts equivalent) indicated
or recorded by instruments to be supplied, owned and
maintained by the City at the City's expense upon the
consumer's premises, adjacent to watt -hour teeter, in the
15- minute interval in which the consumption of electrical
energy is greater gran in any other 15- .minute interval in
the month, or, at the option of the City, the measured
maximum demand may be determined by test. In case of
connected loads of 500 H.P. or over, or in case a record-
ing meter is installed, the City may base the consumer's
maximum demand upon a 30- ninute instead of a 15- minute
interval.
In case of hoists, elevators, welding machines, furnaces
and other installations where the ener 7 demand is inter-
mittent, or subject to violent fluctuations, the measured
maximum demand may be based upon a 5- minute interval.
(d) Any consumer may obtain the rate for a larger Billing
Horsepower by guaranteeing the rate and minimum charge
applicable to the larger Billin Horsepower.
(e) Any measured demand occuring between the hours of 10:00
P.9. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day will not be
considered in computing charges under the schedule,
provided the Billing Horsepower shall not be less than
250 H.P.
(f) lihenever, upon test, any motor is found to be delivering
more than 125ok of its capacity as indicated by its name
plate rating, the City may disregard the name plate rating
and base its charges upon the actual output as calculated
from test.
(g) on application by the consumer, where the Billing Horse -
power in any month is not less than 250 H.P. and when the
kilowatt -hours consumed in that month exceed the lagging
reactive kilovolt- ampere hours used in the month, a power
factor discount will be made in that month on such excess
kilowatt -hours at a rate of eight- tenths (0.8) of a mill
per kilowatt -hour. Such discount in any month shall not
exceed ten (10) per cent of the total bill for the month
before a>plying discount. The total bill after applying
discount shall not be less than the :minimum charge. A
ratchet device will be installed on the reactive kilovolt -
ampere hour meter to prevent its reverse operation on
leading bower factors.
(h) where X -Ray equipment is served underthis schedule, the
Billing Horsepower for determination of rate shall be
based on the nameplate rating but a special minimum charge
shall apply to the X -Ray equipment, as follows: (a) ,,°here

$6.00 per year, per KVA of such capacity, but not less than

SPECIAL CO
(a) Rate shall be paid in advance as a fee for a permit, valid
for 30 calendar days from date of issue, based on consumer's
estimate of the number of days of operation during that
pe riod.
(b) Permit entitles the consumer to connect his service wires
to the secondaries of the City's facilities without a meter
installation for the operation of certain equipment specified
in the permit. Connections shall be made at the consumer's
own risk and expense and at such a point and in such a manner
as is designated aad a . oproved by the City.
(c) Permit will be issued at the office of the Light and power
Department and shall be available for inspection uypon demand
by any authorized employee of the Department.
(d) consumer operating under this schedule shall be required to
xx:kifjcm1xk]xa notify the Department when connection is
initially made at any location and when it is finally removed.
(e) Service under this rate is available only at locations where
the facilities of the city are already in place and are of
adequate capacity to operate the consumer's equipment; pro-
vided however, that service may be taken under this rate
where the installation and removal of any additional facilities
are required, if the cost of such work is paid for. in advance
by the consumer.
(f) The City reserves the rigat to cancel a permit or refuse a
permit to any consumer who in the judgement of the city has
violated the foregoing terms or who has ot_!erwise abused the
lagzxorgaR privileges granted hereunder.
(g) As an alternative to operation under t�lis schedule, a consumer
desiring temporary poorer service may tame such service from the
metered circuit of a consumer of record, in the event such
meter and circuit are adequate in capacity nd on the condition
that a satisfactory arTangevent is made with the consumer of
record.

SPECIAL C�'JETDITIQNS:
(a) Service shall be supplied at one voltage only and additonal
lighting transformers, if necessary, shall be supplied by the
consumer.
(b) The Billing Horsepower shall be the horsepower of measured
Maxii'.iulh demand but in no case less than either (1) 40� of the
connected motor load, or (2) the highest measured maximum
demand in the preceding eleven : whichever is the lowest,
but not less than 100 HP Billing Horsepower shall be deter
to the nearest one-tenth (1/10) of a horsepower.
c) The measured _maximum demand in any month shall be the average
horsepower input (746 i equivalent) indicated or recorded
by instruments to be supplied, owned and maintained by the
City, at the City's expense u the consumer's premises,
adjacent to watt-hour meter, in the 15 interval in
7,7. the consui-Tption of electric energy is greater than in
any other 15- interval in the , ,",onth, or, at the option
of tl. ()1ty measured maximum demand may be determined by
test or may be based on a 30-minute interval instead of a
15-Iii interval.
Ihere the use of lighting exceeds pov er use, the measured
maximurn demand , lay be based upon a 5-minute interval.
In the case of hoists, elevators, r7eldino , machines, furnaces

and other installations where the energy demand is inter-
mittent, or subject to violent fluctuations, the measured
maximum demand - may be based upon a 5-minute interval.
(d)Any consumer may obtain the rates for a larger Billing
Hor'sepornier by
,guaranteeing the rate and minimum charge
applicable to the larger Billing Horsepower.
(e)Any measured demand occurring between the hours of 10:00
and 6:00 A.D1. of the folloi day will not be
considered in computing charges under this schedule,
provided the Billing Horse,, snall not be less than
250 H.P.
(f)un application by the consumer, inhere the Billing Horse-
,Do'rer in any month is not less than 250 HP and v!hen the
'Kilo7ratt-hours consumed in that month exceed the lagging
reactive kilovolt-ampere hours used in the month, a power
factor discount will be made in that month on such excess
itilowatt-hours at the rate of eight-tenths (.8) of a mill
per kiloT, , iatt-hour. Such discount in any month shall not
exceed ten (10) per cent of the total bill for the month
before applying discount. The total bill after applying
discount shall not be less than the mini charge. A
ratchet device will be installed on the reactive kilovolt-
ampere-hour meter to prevent its reverse operation on
leading ponrer factors.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
(a) Connected load taken at 6010 of the nameplate rating of all
heating and cooking- apparatus permanently connected and
which may be connected at any one time, computed to the
nearest one-tenth (1/10) of a kilowatt but in no case less
than 2 KX.
(b) Single phase power service (3 HP or less) may be combined
under this schedule, in which case each horsepower of
connected load shall be considered equivalent to 1 KW of
connected load in determining the ,iinimum charge.

(c) ,'here consumer instaills air heating equipment, the minimum.
0 1 - l arge for the entire installation of the consumer on this
schedule shall be made cumulative for the calendar year
and shall be payable monthly at the rate of one-twelfth
(1/12) of the annual minimum.
(d) `!here an electric oven installation of not less than 15 Kff
capacity is operated by a coimrfieTcial bakery, upon request
of the consumer the City will at an additional charge of
42.00 )er month install an extra meter with time clock
control to 'measure separately the kilowatthour consu
between the hours of 11:00 P.Pl. and 6:00 A. Y. of the
following day and will charge for consumption within
