RESOLUTION IN THE PATTER OF APPLICATION TO
CIVIL WORKS ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, the interior finish and plaster of the City Hall of
the City of Anaheim were considerably damaged by the earthquake
of March 10, 1933, which damage has been repaired except for
painting and tinting and now presents an unsightly appearance;
and
WHEREAS, the elevated concrete water tank at the city's
power house is in need of exterior paint; and
WHEREAS, the city has only $400.00 available for such
painting and decorating, which work is a social and economic
necessity to restore the said structures to their original
appearance and to preserve their surfaces,
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim, that the mayor and city engineer of said city be and
the same are hereby authorized and directed to make application
for approval of Civil Works Project consisting of retinting all
walls and ceilings and repainting all interior and exterior
wood -work of the city hall, also painting the exterior of the
water tank at the city power house, the Civil Works Administration
to be requested to furnish material up to $450.00 and all labor,
the city to furnish all material and equipment over the $450.00.
The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim at a regular meeting held December
12 1933, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Mann, Yunabluth, Sheridan and Cook
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT'AND -NOT VOTING: Councilmen: Martenet Jr.
