CALLING FOR BIDS
FOR ENGINE FOUNDATION
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That the City Clerk of said City be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to publish a notice once a week for
a period of two weeks in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper
of general circulation, published in said City, calling
for sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing to said
city of all labor and concrete material required for con-
crete engine foundation in the city power house, in accord-
ance with C. and G. Cooper Company's drawing No. G 25 -145
and with the specifications and instructions included in
attached proposal form.
Said sealed proposals or bids to be received by the

City Clerk up to 8 o'clock P.M. of Thursday, the#h, day
of Ju' , 1928.

The concrete whall be composed of 1 part standard nortlpnd,
cement, 2 parts clean, sharp Pand and 4 parts clean gravel or crushed
rock; only enough rater shall be added to trmke the mixture ea
workable; the concrete shall be tholfrou.ghly spaded against the forms
and around all embedded bars, rods and ,)ipes. The placinf, of the
concrete -x,ust be done in one continuaus operation, without allowing more
than 45 minutes between successive batches.
+rhen,in the opinion of the city engineer, the concrete has
attained sufficient hardness, the concrete contractor shall remove the
forms. Curing of the concrete will be done by the City.
All materials and workmanship shall be satisfactory to the
city en�Tineer of Anaheim.
