IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA.
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 203
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF THE ROADWAY OF
A PORTION OF CHESTNUT STREET IN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF T13USTEES_ OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Anaheim, to order the following described
street work to be done in said city, to -wit;
That the roadway of Chestnut Street, from the
westerly property line of South Los Angeles Street to the
easterly property line of South Palm Street (excepting there-
from street intersections already paved) be graded to the
official grade and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement six
(6) inches thick and nominally forty -two (42) feet in tidth
between curbs; that standard concrete curb be constructed to
the official grade along said roadway to be improved, where
such curb has not been constructed or has become broken; that
four (4) inch concrete sidewalk be constructed to the official
grade along said roadway, where such sidewalk has not been
constructed or has become broken; that driveway crossings and
approaches adjoining said roadway to be improved, where such
crossings and approaches have not been constructed or have
become broken, be graded to the official grade and paved or
repaved with concrete six (6) inches thick and consisting of
a mixture of 1 part Portland Cement, 2 parts sand and 3 parts
gravel or crushed rock; and that an 18 inch by 5 inch corrugat-
ed iron part - circle culvert be constructed at the northeasterly
corner of the Clementine Street intersection.
SECTION 2: THAT 'WHEREAS, said contemplated work and im-
provement, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more
than local or ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes
the expense of said work and improvement chargeable upfi a
district within said City of Anaheim, which district said Board
hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and
improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses
thereof, and which said district includes the following lots,
portions of lots or parcels of land within said city, to -wit:
IN ORIGINAL CITY LOTS, as per map recorded in Book 4 of Deeds,
Pages 529 an Records of Los Angeles County:
The southerly 75 feet of the westerly 132.25 feet of Lot
37: the southerly 75 feet of Lots 38, 39 and 40: the
northerly 75 feet of the southerly 171.5 feet�of the west-
erly 132.25 feet of Lot 41: the northerly 75 feet of the
southerly 171.5 feet of Lots 42 and 43; and the northerly
70 feet of the southerly 171.5 feet of Lot 44

Lots 18, 22 24, 28, 30, 34 and 45; the southerly 75 feet

The notherly 75 feet of Lots 1, 3', 5.79 and 11.
The exterior boundaries of said district are as
shown on maps thereof marked and designated "Diagram showing
district to be assessed for improvements on Chestnut Street,
pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 203 of the Board of
Trustees of the City of Anaheim, California," which said maps
are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City.
SECTION THAT said work shall be done in accordance
with the Plans and specifications therefet, which plans were
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by
resolution,on the 29th day of December, 1925, and are marked
and designated "Paving Plan, Qhestnut Street, Street Improve-
ment No. 56, Sheets 1 and 2, and are on file in the office
of the City Engineer of said City; and which said specifica-
tions are on file in the office of the City Clerk of Said
City, and are entitled and designated as follows, to -wit:
"General Specifications No. 36, for Public Work,
City of Anaheim,California.n
"Specifications No. 34, For the Construction of
Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, City of Anaheim, California."
"Specifications No. 40,Corrwgated Iron Culverts,
City of Anaheim, California."
Also, reference is hereby made to Ordinance No. 404 of
said city for specifications governing cement curb, sidewalk
and driveway construction.
SECTION 4: That serial bonds shall be issued to represent
assessments of #25.00 or over for the cost and expenses of sAid
work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over
a period of nine years from thd second day of January next suc-
ceeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their
date, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum there-
of shall be payable, by coupon, orr the second day of January
every year after the fifteenth day of the next November follow-
ing their date until the whole is paid, and the interest shall
be paid semi- annually, by coupon, on the second days of January
and July respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven per
cent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said
principal and interest are paid.

SECTION 5: That said Board of Trustees hereby fixes Thursday,
Me 10th7day of Burch, 1927, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M.,
at the council chamber of said Board of Trustees in the City
Hall in said City, as the time and place when and where any and
all persons having any objections to the proposed work or im-
provement may appear before said Board of Trustees and whow
cause why said proposed work and improvement should not be
carried out in accordance with this resolution; provided, all
such $rotests must be in writing and must be delivered to the
City lerk before the houx set for the hearing of objections.
SECTION 64. That the Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated
as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in said
City, in which this resolution shall be published, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution by two
successive insertions in said newspaper.
SECTION 7: That the Street Superintendent of said City
shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of said contemplated work or improvement and in front of
all property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of
this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required
by law.
SECTION 8: That all of the herein proposed work and
improvement shall be done and said serial bonds shall be
issued under and in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature
of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act
of 1911," and all acts amendatory thereof;
The foregoing Resolution of Intention is approved,
signed and attested this 10th, day of February, 1927.
