A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF THE ROADWAY
OF A PORTION OF NEST SYCAMORE STREET AND OF NEST CYPRESS STREET
IN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Anaheim to order the following described street
work to be done in said city, to -wit:
That the roadways of West Sycamore Street and West
Oypress Street, both from the westerly line of North Lemoo
Street to the easterly line of North Palm Street, be grade. to the
official grade and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement five (5)
inches thick; that standard Portland cement concrete curbs be
constructed to the official grade where not already constructed
along said roadways to be improved; that alley and driveway
crossings and approaches adjoiningemid roadways to be improved,
where such: crossings or approaches have not been constructed
or have become broken, be graded to the offtoial grade and
paved or repaved with concrete six (6)-inches thick and con-
sisting of a mixture of 1 part Portland cement, 2 parts sand
and 3 parts gravel or crushed rock; and that the open irrigation
ditch on the northerly side of West Sycamore Street be removed
and replaced by a 24 inch concrete pipe line with the necessary
gate boxes, gates and other appurtenances.
SECTION 2: That, whereas, said contemplated work and im-
provement, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more than
local or ordinary publio benefit, said Board hereby makes the
expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district
°within said City of Anaheim, which district said Board hereby
declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement
and to be assessed to pay all the costs and expenses thereof,
except as hereinafter provided, and which said district includes
all of the following lots or parcels of land within said city,
to -wit:
Lots 1,2,9,10 and the southatly 87.75 feet of Lots 3 and 8,
Block A. and Lots 1, 2 and the southerly 27.75 feet of Lot 3,
Block C, Park View Tract, as per map recorded in Book 12, Page 20,
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County;

the northerly 144,75 feet of the southerly 149.25
feet of the easterly 550,18 feet of the westerly 560,18
feet of Vineyard Lot B -5, as per map recorded in Book 4 of Deeds,
Wages 629 and 630, Records of Los Angeles County;
Lots 1 and 12 Block E, Lots 1,2,3,4,9,10,11
and 12 Block F. and Lots 1,2,3,4,9,10,11 and 12 Block G, New
Subdivision of Vineyard Lot D-5, as per map recorded in Book 17,
page 72, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County.
The boundaries of said district are as shown on maps
marked and designated "Diagram showing property to be assessed
for improvements on WestcSycamore Street" and "Diagram showing
property to be assessed for improvements.on West Cypress Street,"
both "Pursuant to Resolution of Intention No, 200 of the Board
of Trustees of the City of Anaheim which maps are on
file in the office of the City Engineer of said city.
SECTION 3-: That said work shall be done in accordance with
the plans and specifications therefor, which said plans were
approved and adopted by the Board of Trustees of said city on the
23rd day of September, 1926, and are marked and designated "Paving
Plan, West Sycamore Street, Street Improvement No, 60 " and " Paving
Plan, West Cypress Street, Street Improvement No, 59, and which
said specifications are entitled and designated "Specifications
No. 34 For the Construction of Asphaltic Concrete Pavement,"
"General Specifications No 36 For Public Work,p "Specifications
No 39 for Concrete Pipe," and Ordinance No 404 governing
cement curb, sidewalk and driveway construction, all heretofore
adopted by said Board of Trustees and on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said city,
SECTION 4: That the cost and expenses of all work done
on opposite terminations of streets terminating in the said streets
to be improved, also the cost and expense of all work done on
West Sycamore Street southerly from the established centerline
thereof, and on West Cypress Street northerly from the established
center line thereof, shall be paid out of the treasury of said city,
SECTION 5: That the total cost and expenses of all work
done in removing said open irrigation ditch and replacing the same
by said pipe line, along the northerly side of said West Sycamore
Street, shall be distributed and paid for inthe following
Proportion* : -
Share of Anaheim Union Water Company, a corporation, one -half
of said total; share of the City of Anaheim, one- fourth of
said total; and share of abutting property, to be assessed
against said property, one - fourth of said total

SECTION 6; That serial bonds shall be issued to represent
assessments of $25.00 or over for the cost and expenses of said
work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over
a period of nine years from the second day of January next succeeding
the fifteenth day of the next November following their date, and an
even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable,
by coupon, on the 2nd day of January of each year following the fifteenth
day of the next November after their date, until the whole is paid, and
the interest shall be paid semi — annually, by coupon, on the 2nd days
of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven
percent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal
and interest are paid.
SECTION 7; That said Board of Trustees hereby fixes Thursday
the 4th day of November, 1926, at the flour of eight o'clock P.M.
at the Council Camber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim,
in the City Hall, in said city, as the time and place when and where
any and all persons having objections to the proposed work or improvements
may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why such proposed
work and improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this
resolution; provided, that all such protests must be in writing and must
be delivered to the City Clerk before the hour set for the hearing of
objections.
SECTION 82 That the Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated
as the newspaper pr.Lnted, published and circulated in said city
in which this resolution shall be published, and the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to publish this resolution
by two successive insertions in said newspaper.
That the Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be
conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work
or improvement and in front of all property liable to be assessed,
notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner
and form required by Law.
That all of the herein proposed wdrk and improvement shall be
done and sai6 seri94 bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance of
an Act of the Legislature of the State of Caltfornia, designated
the Improvement Act of 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
